If X Had Known... (End Spoilers)

edited August 2013 in The Walking Dead
I noticed something during a playthrough of the 4th episode.

When I was going down to the riverside looking for boats, I saw the Maccabe sign that you cross in episode 5. As those who have finished the game know, a short distance from this sign is The Marsh House, where the Stranger was presumably staying.

This means that Lee was a few minutes away from the man who ultimately killed him and the group. If Lee had known ahead of time that it was there and that the Stranger on the radio was in The Marsh House, he could have ended everything before he was bitten, before Kenny was lost, and before he was separated from Christa, Omid, and Clementine.

If Lee had checked for Clem's parents at The Marsh House or looked for the Stranger there in the beginning, he would've lived longer.

Yes, all of this requires Lee to have some knowledge ahead of time. In hindsight, I think this is the saddest part of the Season; all of this could have been avoided.

This is the thread to let out all of those "If I'd only known..." moments in the game.

The whole confrontation could have been avoided altogether if Lee had just taken the damn car keys so the guy couldn't chase them down. Or I guess not steal his stuff to begin with but fuck that.

They could have left the other walkie talkie alone. But I still say it's all the stranger's fault, don't leave your stuff out in the open like that.

If only Clementine had Carley's level of knowledge concerning batteries.

Clementine knows how to use batteries.
I think if Lee knew that the stranger was going to talk to Clementine he woulden't put the walkie-takie in the table before he went to sleep.
If Lee knew Lilly was going to shoot Carley he would save her life.

All what if's, if Lee had known Lilly was about to murder Carley then he would have been able to stop it, he only need two seconds.

If Larry had just remembered to put his pills in his pocket before taking that stroll with the group to the St. John Dairy...

Damn never honestly thought about that, either Lee has the keys, or he gives them to Kenny, so do they just toss the keys right back in the car? On another thought why didn't they drive it back to the motor inn? You can never have to many cars for a get away, for cover, or for a barricade.

If Lee had known what a catalyst Ben would be, he could've delayed the hunt for a motor inn dance off.

-If only Lee had known of his wife's affair with the senator days before the apocalypse happened, he wouldn't have committed an crime of passion and would not have died in Savannah.

-If Lee had known that there were walkers coming through Shawn's fence earlier, Shawn and Duck would both survive and Lee would eventually meet Rick.

-If the group had known that the St. John's were cannibals, they'd be well on their way towards Savannah with Larry, Lilly, Duck, Katjaa, Doug/Carley, and Mark.

-If the group had known that Vernon's saw the horde of walkers coming towards Savannah, they likely would have escaped earlier, and everything would have been fine.

    -The list goes on...
