My theory :"Kenny's fate will be explored"

edited August 2013 in The Walking Dead
Hey guys

so ive been thinking about what TT said about Kenny and ive got couple of theorys
first - reason why I don't think Kenny is alive :First, this has nothing to do with me being team Lilly,I just dont think the man survived -using lee's words when u get the "ben" ending :"no one was getting out of there" and simply the fact that he wanted to die after the loss of his family.
another reason is that because my opinion if he is alive telltale wouldnt say a word about him. thats my opinion anyway.

now, theory number 1 of exploring his fate : I dont really think that will happend but here it is :
we see clem in oprah's camp and everyone are so shocked to see that 1 little girl survived for so long, when they ask her about her story we see flashbacks to savannah, where we see a walker Kenny.

Theory number 2 : this actualy got more chances that will happend then the 1st theory so here it is :
2 ppl in hoods? scouts for oprah's camp, they bring clem and whe nshe arrives tavia is talking with the scouts who telling her that before they saw clem they saw a man with a hat and a stache near savannah, they tried to yell to him so get his attantion but then they saw him get eaten.

so what do you think about those theorys? (please no comments of "Kenny is alive !!!!!" this thread is about how will we explore his fate if he is dead)

so if he is dead how do u think we will explore his fate?

We might find his hat, or have to kill his walker.

It will be sad, but Kenny was such a huge character from S1 that ended such a strong character arc, I don't see Telltale ruining that story or making him survive through it and be a major character. It sucks, but unless kenny was reunited with Clem, I don't see him having any motivation to continue on.

That said, I would die of happiness to find out he is alive and kicking.

I know, it's only going to be to things, he is alive and I will cry tears of joy, or we find his body and I cry tears of tears, there is no in between.

Either Clem or Omid and Christa will talk about seeing his corpse as they make their way out of the city. No flashback, just a sad mention of his fate. That's really all we need. His character arc ended well enough. We don't need to have a big reveal or anything to get our closure.

Somehow I just got that feeling that the way we find out is not going to be through dialog, if it's through dialog then it just might set of another Carley is alive hell on the forums, the only way to be sure is to see his dead body, or him alive, otherwise it's was not worth telling everyone at Comic Con that we will know just to have it be one line of dialog.

The way I heard it went was that it was a direct response to an audience member's question about Kenny's fate, rather than something that they announced as a highlight of Season 2. Saying that his fate will be "explored" was the most neutral way they could put it.

Agreed, obviously characters like Omid and Christsa would be likely to bring him up if Clem asked. That wouldn't be exploring his fate, that would be telling us what we already know, and memorializing him.

I know, I am just saying that if you want emotion then just saying he is dead is not going to get it, Clem never saw Kenny die, she just would guess that he is alive, she would have no idea he is alive if she never saw him alive, it just makes sense to me.

They can't really say much more, without spoiling it at least to some extent. Personally, if he IS dead? I think we'll find him as a walker, and it will be like the cop (Clyde, I believe?) in Russell's story. We'll be going by on some errand, or task, or mission, or what have you, and see him there. Then we'll get the option to put him down or just leave him.

Might be. Same as they showed Carley's corpse in 400 days to slam the final nail in the coffin and can all discussions about her being alive, we might see the same about Kenny. Truth be told, I don't want to see him alive in season 2. Like somebody already said- his character had one of the biggest arcs in season 1, was thoroughly explored and ended with a high note. I don't really think we need to explore Kenny further- whatever else they would decide to do with him being alive could well ruin the character that, as I said, ended with a very positive note. Let him be at rest. Or of he's a walking corpse, then let us give him that rest.

Fans will be in denial if Kenny was revealed to die through dialogue.

Random character in S2: "I met a guy. He said his name was Kenny, had a Stache, a hat... And he was looking for this guy, Lee, and a 9 year old, Clem. He also said his wife and his son, Katjaa and Duck, died. That was when I planted a grenade in his clothes and he blew up into millions of pieces."

All Kenny fans: "Oh, he was talking about another Kenny."

I'm already rationalizing this away as we speak. It's not like mustaches and hats are uncommon... or the name Kenny...

That is what I said, it people did not believe Carley was dead, then if someone just says that he is dead then there is even less proof then currently, that is like when Lee was in the sewers it cuts to him coming home and just saying that Chuck is dead, it does not have as much weight then if you saw it for yourself.

I think "explored" means they haven't decided what they want to do with Kenny yet haha

I don't want another Doug/Carley alike scene for Kenny...
