Did Kenny actually let Lee fall? *Episode 4 spoiler*

edited August 2013 in The Walking Dead
I was watching a person's playthrough during Episode 4, and I got to the point where Lee, Kenny and Clementine meet Molly. It was around the moment where Molly pulls Clementine and Kenny up to safety, and Kenny tries to help pull Lee up. Of course, Lee ends up falling anyway and has to flee to the sewers.

...But I couldn't help but notice that the animation where Lee falls back down was off, especially when it comes to Kenny's action. Maybe it wasn't supposed to happen in terms of character animation, but it looked as if Kenny deliberately opened his hand and let Lee fall, rather than Lee losing his grip.

Then again, it could have been Kenny actually dropping Lee out of spite since it wasn't a pro-Kenny walkthrough I was watching, but still, that was cold even for him since Clementine was right there with him.

He was shot by Andy St John in episode 2 , maybe that's the reason . And plus , he said that he isn't young anymore so .

He accidentally dropped Lee at the beginning of episode 3 as well, and was definitely still hurting from that shot he took at the St. Johns. Not on purpose at all, I'm sure!

    Kenny is really physically weak.

It had only been little over a week since he was shot so yeah he was weakened by that plus Kenny isn't that cold or calculating,he isn't a murderer.

it was definitely accidental, but also sort of mutual, like Lee knew kenny lost his grip and was in to much pain to hold on and pull him up so Lee let go, because even with a big frame like Lee's he could have just kept an iron grip on kenny's hand and hung on, but it would have been pointless because Kenny couldn't pull him up

Since Kenny got gutshot hardly a week before, he can't do everything 100%. He drops Lee literally the day before in the EXACT same situation, because of his gun shot wound. I was on a pro Kenny playthrough, and got the bro speech at the end, and he still dropped me (or more accurately, lost his grip). Besides, if he was going to leave Lee to die, he wouldn't have kneeled down to help in the first place.

Also, it seems kind of funny how much people hate Kenny for dropping them. I've seen lists with (many) reasons why people hate Kenny, and they always add him dropping Lee (both times). "No upper body strength?! YOU BASTARD!"

yeah the same people are like "it was kenny's fault Lilly shot Carley/Doug" like get over it guys, the kenny Vs Lilly rivalry ended in episode 3 when they parted ways

I know the whole, "Kenny never went to a gym, that bastard I hate him" hate is pretty odd.

    Do you even lift Kenny?

Good grief, I didn't outright say that Kenny dropped Lee on purpose just to make people mad, I only said it was a possibility.

I was just pointing out how silly it was for OTHER posts I've read to hate Kenny for pretty much everything he does. EVERYTHING. Although, I must admit I was a little intrigued by the thought of him dropping Lee on purpose. And, while I don't think that's what happened, it IS possible that it did, especially if you went anti-Kenny after the meat locker.

There may be a few places that Kenny can potentially try to ditch Lee, but I don't think it was on his mind either of the times he dropped him.

Losing his ability to lift aside, Katjaa must have had some crazy veterinarian skills to patch up a bullet wound.

Well, to be completely honest, it did cross my mind for split second, sorry Ken.

But yeah, recovering from bullet wound; exhaustion from the non-stop shit, and perhaps not being in fantastic nutritional condition, will not help with that kind of demanding physical exertion.

You do realize he said that as to not worry his family, right? The bullet is the only reason.
Also, you continue to put spaces between words and punctuation... Why? Why!?

I wish Lee had gone up first then he could have pulled Kenny up I would have made Lee do that if I had the option for that reason.
