He would'nt kill her for no reason, he's not Lilly.

Oh ok, I think he was telling the truth since everyone else knew about it too. I don't think he would lie, he doesn't hate Stephanie and certainly wouldn't want to kill her for no reason.

I sure hope so, otherwise the Roman I'm RPing as is completely wrong lol

I would've done the same thing. Expect only take some of the supplies with me and included my closest friends in the plan.

To answer the question, yes, I think he was telling the truth.

Shit, I met to say truth but I hit lie, o well.

No idea why he would lie about that. He cared for the group and everyone in it. The only reason he would decide that he need to kill a group member is if they stole something or tried to screw them over. When you steal from the group, you're basically out of it.

He may have embellished some details relating to what she took and how much, which would have made his case for executing her stronger, but then no one was allowed to talk with her to get her side, so..

Absolutely I think she was trying to leave, sorry ESCAPE, and took some supplies with her.

    Meh.

he had no reason to lie... oh i just thought of one weak reason, if she was just simply trying to escape and he wanted to kill her as an example to stop it from happening again, him and clive may have cooked up a plan to say she stole supplies just so they don't sound totally unreasonable

Yeah he was definitely telling the truth I mean why would he lie,he had nothing to gain from lying

I could have sworn that I heard him say Stephanie stole "some" of the supplies then changed his story to "all" shortly after, depending on what dialogue choice you choose. That seemed suspicious to me.

Then again, I can't really remember if Roman actually said that.

    Hmmmm.

    I'd have to replay.

Regardless, Roman, at this point is not 'nice' guy and dodgy as sin.

    Kinda.

He said that she stole "most" of the medicine and ammo when he first describes what she did. Then, when re-emphasizing what she did he said that she left them "without any medicine or extra ammo." So he did embellish the medicine part afterwards.

Also, something interesting is that he doesn't mention her stealing "seeds" in all accounts. Might just be a random dialogue decision, though.

The thought did occur to me, mainly because he didn't allow us to go talk to her, making it seem like he was keeping her from telling her side of the story. I do think he's telling the truth. As for why, I think it's just the way the game presents the choice to us. We either kill her for the reasons given to us, or we leave. It seems pretty cut-and-dried to me, and I don't think we're meant to think he's hiding anything since it makes the choice harder.

So yeah, I say he's telling the truth. I don't necessarily agree that he's a good person looking out for everyone, though. I started to lose sympathy for Roman's position when Becca said that he made it a rule that anyone who left the camp would get hunted down. Nothing about stealing stuff, just leaving the group would get you hunted down, and they were worried he'd be after them later even though they didn't steal anything if you choose to leave. Sounds like he's heading down Governor road there.

Well the thing is ... Roman is kind of a jerk .
He doesn't want anyone to leave the camp and forces everybody to stay at the camp like some animals . He doesn't even want us to talk to Stephanie and hear her story . And Becca said that if someone leaves from the group , Roman is going to hunt the person down .

I should think it's fairly obvious.

Although, I haven't seen a lot of hate. A bit of mistrust, questioning and some serious dislike (particularly from me and Omid's Cat) but that's about it.

You either buy into his shit, or you don't.

Yeah, once you have the real fact out there, I think you're allowed to embellish just a little bit.

On topic, no way in hell he's lying.
  • Why would he lie about that? Apparently he knew Stephanie before the others ("it was like this when roman and steph found the place")

Honestly I think he got so mad as he felt so betrayed by her, honestly I understand him, if you have problems you talk about it or at least let your friends know. Don't just leave with all the supplies. His reaction and plan was a little ... extreme though. A second chance after a warning would be a better procedure.
