Poor performance on all Sam & Max episodes

On every Sam & Max episode I have (All of Season 1 and Ice Station Santa), there are load times of about 20-30 seconds every time I enter a room, followed by another half-minute of jerky, choppy animation and dialogue as I first enter. The framerate is often low, even when I have my graphics card and the game resolution set low. I had no problem running the Bone games, so is there any other factor I'm not taking into effect?

    You probably need more RAM

    Yeah, Chris is right. That is usually a sign that you are pushing up against the "low RAM" limit. The Sam & Max games are definitely more memory intensive than Bone was.

    Best way to compete this without spending money on new RAM (thought it is shockingly cheap these days) is to turn off all background programs and occasionally exit completely out of the game for a minute or two.
