Can Eddie be alive?

edited September 2013 in The Walking Dead
If we leave Eddie behind, we can see in credits that Eddie tryed to save that cop, and Nate in the far goes to him. So it was 41 day. 184 day - Russel story, Nate is alive, and it can meant that he killed Eddie. 236 day -Shel story, this cop, is a watchdog of Roman's group.

If Eddie leave us behind, well in this case, even less information about him.
As I know, in this game - every character who have chance to die - WILL die anyway.
What do you think? Can Eddie survive?

I like to think that he's alive. With all the positive reception he's getting, I'm sure he'll play a part in Season 2.

It would be nice to see him again, he's really good value, but I'm thinking he was a one hit wonder.

He's now part of Nate's hood ornament, or something.

    1)Eddie Abandons Wyatt

    Possibly alive. Emphasis on "possibly".

    2) Wyatt Abandons Eddie

Dead as a doornail. Especially when you take that final image seen in the ending credits into account...

I say maybe, if Kenny maybe survives the first episode of season 2, something that is not 100%, then Eddie can, and Wyatt got away on foot if left behind, why not Eddie?
  • edited August 2013
When I saw that image of Eddie trying to save the cop and noticed Nate behind him, I'm guessing that maybe Eddie instantly decides to just ditch the cop and run like hell to escape into the forest with nothing but the (possibly) 6 bullets in his revolver.

This is pretty much what I think, too.

    This is true.

However, I think he was a throwaway character and served his purpose. I hope I'm wrong. He's funny, and his tats are amazing.

I hope so, he was really cool, I hope Telltale was expecting the positive results for his character.

I NEED Eddie to live long enough to meet Omid THEN he can die. :D

Gee, bro. Thanks. I don't want my bro to die

No, seriously. Eddie is my younger brother.

Eddie better live, he better live.

Unless he dies, in which case he better not come back as a walker.

Same situation with Wyatt if Eddie leaves him.

P.S. Eddie reminds me Omid. I like him.

He has to be alive! I'm actually hoping Eddie is the new playable character for season two. I want him him and Clem to kick ass together!
Lmao, did anyone else notice the way he says Ow! after punching the steering wheel?! Clem said the exact same thing when she tried to break that glass door with her hand back in S1 finale. Too adorable <3

No way ! Eddie is more of a comedy character like Omid . This would be worse than playing as Clementine , Kenny , Lilly , Molly , Christa or Omid .

Because Nate was going after Eddie 100% since Eddie was the one who killed his bud.

    True.

When it comes to characters, the protagonist should not have a pre-set personality - let me (the player) decide how my character is, and that is simply not possible with the people we have met and could potentially be alive. As you say, Eddie and Omid are comedic sidekicks, Kenny should be very well dead (get over it people!), Lilly, Molly and Christa had their characters established in stone, and Clem is a child, which only that impose a range of limitations - and her character is established as well, making her as unsuitable as the next protagonist.

    Agreed .
A super nice Lilly would be out of character , Kenny too ( If he is alive ) .
Christa is a pregnant woman .
    Molly is too overpowered .
Clementine is a child and Scumbag Clem would be way out of character .

Both of them are very unlikely. If he leaves you, then you find the hoopty abandoned at the pitstop in Russel's story.

If you leave him... Well, we've talked about this.

Eddie would be a terrible PC. He's a great SUPPORTING character, but that's it. I hope he IS alive though, cause I'd love to see him again.

Yes but isn't that similar to Roman going after Shel? Both her and Becca are alive.

I think he will be alive because if Wyatt gets out of the car and then you play Shel's story, you can see Eddie's car. They wouldn't leave it that closed ended for no reason.

Really? Where? I didn't see his car in Shel's chapter. Anyway, thanks for info, I'll check it out.

yes, but we SEE Nate continue to go after him. We don;t even see Roman attempting to hunt them down.

I'm certain he is alive. Even fan favoritism aside, there is too much potential drama from an Eddie and Wyatt reunion for the writers to simply kill off Eddie. My guess is that the two are going to cross paths in the next game, and are going to have some unresolved issues over one leaving the other behind.

But Wyatt survived in the same situation. Why Eddie can't?
  • edited September 2013
I mean if they bring him back, his odds of survival are not that great.

I got the bad feeling they might bring him back to have him meet Omid and Wyatt again, then kill him off in the same episode, which would really suck but I can somehow see them doing that.

Wyatt either leaves the cop where he got hit, or when Eddie pulls away, abandons him THEN. The key is that Wyatt isn't weighed down by the dying cop. In the credits, we can see that Eddie is STILL carrying the cop with him even after Wyatt drives away. I don't think Eddie could outrun Nate WITH the cop. So Nate caught and killed him. Wyatt drops the cop as soon as Eddie drives away, leaving him free to run from Nate, unburdened by the dying cop. Of course, all that supposition is from ONE image in the credits, so it probably doesn't mean anything. Just my thoughts on it.
  • edited September 2013
If he kept the cop he dies, but as you said it is just one still image, maybe he dropped him and ran, who knows?

Maybe, but since that image is all we have, I'm inclined to believe he tried to get the poor guy out of there, and paid for it. I'd be happy to be wrong on this one.
  • edited September 2013
True, he did seem like a nice guy who wants to help people so I would believe he would not drop him, but he is also not dumb, so it kind of works both ways.
  • edited September 2013
Everybody likes him and all but be realistic.. Nate possibly shoot him and when he leave with the car, he could be alive but it make it hard to bring him back

Says someone who thinks Kenny survived that alley. Eddie had a better chance of survival.
  • edited September 2013
Nate got him so probably not.

  • I hope he did, he was a cool character that I liked quite a bit after only so little time, reminds me of the first time I met Kenny.

  • I actually like Eddie, but he left me.

  • Opposing camps!? Awww yeah..

    TTG, make it so.
