If Clementine turns into Becca or Carl in season 2 , are you going to hate her ?

edited September 2013 in The Walking Dead
In season 2 if Clem is going to act like Becca or Carl and becomes more heartless and bloodthristy, are you guys going to hate her and start making " Fuck Clementine " threads and say that she is the new Kenny or the new Lilly of season 2 ?

I would hate Clementine much more if she turned into Carl.

i think the natural stage of progression for a child in the walking deads is as follows

    Clementine
    |
    (about 3 or 5 months)
    Becca
    |
    (around the second year)
    Carl

Nope, I'm gonna be really sad, but I won't blame her for it. I hope it won't happen though.

I wouldnt hate her unless she did something truly evil.

Of course I'd hate her. I want nothing else but for Carl to die with his personality now. Time to post my tumblr confession from months ago:

I'd make any decision for Clem to keep her innocence. I made her leave Lee for a reason.

I hate Carl. Can't stand him.

    as i've said earlier.

The Way Children would go in a ZA

    Clementine--Becca--Carl.

Carl is the Last step on the Ladder All Children in the Walking Dead will climb. After 4 years or so. Clem will be a gemale Carl, and halfway inbetween she'll be a becca. and at one point, Becca will be a Carl.

If Clem stays completely innocent she'll die completely innocent thats why she had to kill Lee, she needs to learn certain things to survive. Like Chuck said "You treat her like a little girl and she'll die a little girl".

Yeah but what if she turns into a monster and kills the 400 days characters thinking that they are evil ?

Then we kill Clem. Simple enough.

Yeah and then Lee will spin in his grave knowing that we destroyed the only thing he cared for in this damn apocalypse .
By killing Clem , we are also destroying Lee's sacrifice and his redemption .

What, you just gonna let her keep killing off your favorite characters?

I'm not saying she has to turn into a psycho or anything but she can't stay innocent neither, Lee thought her right from wrong and that sometimes killing bad people(Like ST Johns) is necessary to survive.

Well , if Telltale won't decide to make our choices that involve Clem pointless than there is a chance that Clem won't turn into a psycho and become like Lee .

I was silent earlier but my Clem-Clem can't turn into Carl or Becca (f*cking Becca ) she can't she's she's she's my number 1 priority (Kenny is also my number 1 priority) she can't become like them :( she can't :(

    @TKA

What's your problem with Becca? She's not as bad as Carl. Carl shot a kid in the face.

Not every kid will turn into them. For example Sophia in the comics isn't like Carl or Becca.

Honestly , I hope Telltale won't be like " Yeaaaahhhhhhh , we don't have the power to change Clem's personality by how you played so we are just going to turn her evil and than force you to kill her " .
It would make Lee's sacrifice a big joke if Clem turns evil no matter what .

This is how i see the stages

Clementine: Normal, Still holding onto innocence

Becca: Growing up in this world. You Start Acting Tough, and Accept the world as it is.

Carl: downright Psychotic and Grim. Somewhat Disconnected.

I barely know who Carl even is!

And my problem with Becca? Normally I'm very fond of kids, don't take it that I hate kids.

But Becca, is annoying, her attitude stinks, and she is rude, you seen the way she talks to Bonnie?!

I just really really can't stand her not one bit. I tried to like her but, when she said she would take Stephanie out instead of me, and the tone in her voice was dark and had no remorse. I lost it then and there.

Russell was talking bad to Bonnie aswell and I don't see you criticising him aswell .
Becca is a kid growing up in Hell .

And when was Russel talking bad towards Bonnie, cause I don't remember that happening.
  • edited August 2013
I think that Becca's putting up a front, it's all an act.

She's only trying to adapt to the world and prove to Shel that she can stand up for herself.

I'd rather she was this than crying and snivelling whenever something bad happens.

Depending on what happens in the past before the group meets up, Russel takes a jab at Bonnie's past as a drug addict, complete with air quotes and a snide tone.

Depending on how you play , Russell says this :
    Russ: No , fuck this , she's crazy ! I don't trust her !
Bonnie: Well , why not , Russel ? If they have food , and medicine , and -
    Russell: Yeah " medicine "
    Bonnie: Look-
    Russell: I don't trust her Bonnie !

Oh, oh yeah now that I think about it something did happen, don't remember it exactly. And for the record master psychic, I don't like Russel either, he has trust issues. Seriously, in his chapter he was overshadowed by Nate, a lot.

    That's a hell of a baseless overgeneralization...

Sure, the apocalypse changes people but it doesn't put them all on the same path. 400 days into the apocalypse, the DLC survivors all still have distinct personalities that can be understood in the context of who they were before and what they've personally been through. Based on what Clem was like before, I'd say that she's far more likely to die who she is than become like Carl or even Becca. That being said, if she does somehow turn out like them, something I can't really even imagine, and there's no hint that she might eventually regain her personality, then sure I'd hate her. If the old her were there she'd hate her too.

They should've just called it "Nate's Story" instead.

I'm trying to say this basically.

The kids will start of innocent. then they'll probaly try to prove they can be strong and stand up for themselves. then they might go Carl on everyone.

They'll have their own personalities, but the apocalypse changes people in ways. And being in a Apocalypse will mess kids up and harden them a bit too much (Carl's) Some Kids will try to prove themselves and set up facades of being tough (Becca's) and then we have those that are still all innocent, and sadly, likely to die unless they become like any of the others (Clementine's). there'll probaly be a other instances of the apocalypse affecting kids differently.

I probaly was overgeneralizing. i'm just going on those kisd that do survive 2 or years and such.

There are other coping mechanisms that kids can develop in times of stress aside from putting up a front like Becca or outright becoming evil like Carl. For example, Clem used her walkie-talkie to have pretend conversations with her parents to make her feel better. In the second season, I can imagine her going a bit more crazy with that and talking to "Lee" about what to do when she's facing a difficult situation alone.

yeah. But you can't deny that there's likely more than one kid who put up a front. and just ended up completly messed up.

I think Carl's the for Kid who don't block it out or Pretend anything.

Sure. But, generally speaking, I think that kids can be as varied as adults can be when it comes to dealing with the apocalypse. Sure you'll have your Carls/Shanes and your Beccas/Larrys but you'll also have children who end up like Bonnie, or Tavia, or Wyatt and everyone else in between. Saying that Clem-->Becca-->Carl is the path that most surviving kids take is like saying that most surviving adults will eventually end up like Shane, which I think undercuts how varied and adaptable people can be.

Yeah but Sophia is exactly what Chuck warned about, she's a little girl, if she was ever left alone with even one walker she would die

That's true, but she's been through some VERY traumatic events and she didn't loose all her innocence or start acting like Becca or Carl.

True but you could say she is a bit disturbed pretending Glenn and Maggie are her parents and forgetting about Carol.
