How to know how well a game has sold?
Do we have to rely on publishers to release their sales figures to know how well a game has sold?
Also, is there any way to know how well a game has sold on Steam, in particular?
One of the reasons I ask is because I'm curious about how Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded is doing. Its publisher said that, if the game sold well, then we'd get more Larry games, but I haven't heard a peep out of them (on Kickstarter or anywhere) about sales figures.
I'm also just curious to know how well certain adventure games are selling in relation to one another.
