"Why Do We Love Zombies?" by the Nostalgia Critic

A piece by Doug Walker, aka "the Nostalgia Critic", exploring our weird fascination with zombies. He spends the bulk of it discussing THE WALKING DEAD. While I lost interest in the show halfway through season 2, Doug does make a few cool observations about the real terror of zombies; not so much that they're always trying to eat you, but the way they can slowly erode your humanity over days, months, and years, until you become "one of them" without even being bitten.

  • Interesting perspective. I agree in the regard that it's less about the zombies being interesting and more about the situation that stems from them.

To be honest, with all the zombie games/movies/shows out there I thought the concept had been wrung pretty dry. I wasn't really looking into Telltale's Walking Dead until I started hearing how it was more about character exploration and making choices rather than being another action title.
