Impossible to start The walking dead

Hello,

I just download the walking dead on steam, I am on win 7. I can launch the game for few seconds but when it asks to "click to continue" the game is simply closing (after showing "connecting..." for 1s).

Updating DirectX, registry, or reinstalling the game didn't change anything.

Please, I need advices/solution...

    I am on Windows 8. Steam says it's launching the game and that's as far as I get. I did everything the original troubleshooting page suggested.

    Problem signature:
    P1: WalkingDead101.exe
    P4: DINPUT8.dll

    That's a Windows 8 incompatibility.

    It should work if you unplug all non essential usb devices, especially gamepads/joysticks.

    If you don't want to unplug the devices every time, the dinput8.dll workaround should help.

    Does it still crash if you disconnect from the internet before starting the game?

    Indeed, it's working if I am not connected before starting the game. How can I solve this ? (if any solution exists)

    The only thing that has worked for some people is updating the mainboards BIOS.
