If i preorder my walking dead season 2 from telltale will it link up with my steam walking dead?

I bought walking dead game season 1 and dlc (400 days) on steam (pc version) but I want to pre order the game on the telltale game website because it's cheaper, so will season two link up with the choices I make in season 1 and 400 days if I bought them on steam ?

    Yes.
    Source (Telltale's MattP):

    "The Steam and Telltale PC version use the same directory for saves, so however you play on PC, your saves should be available."
