Xbox 360 Storage Device Lost Error? Problem Loading Save? - Try This

Gooooood Morning, Afternoon or maybe even Evening all.

I was suffering with this problem for a LONG time with The Walking Dead on my Xbox 360, it wouldn't load my save games and just kept signing me out of Xbox Live and then complaining that the storage device was lost.

I think I found a fix... Delete your gamer profile - don't panic, providing you just delete your gamer profile (or Gamer Tag depending on what you like to call it) but don't delete any associated items, you can then recover your gamer profile and you should be good to go.

I believe the error is a result of your profile being really really old. If you're suffering with this issue you're probably also having problems using the Avatar editor, which will also sign you out when you launch it, thus displaying no avatar to edit.

I've seen a lot of people complaining of this and thus so far have not seen a single confirmed working fix.
