Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis

edited February 2009 in General Chat
Anyone know where I can get this on CD (if they do it) at an affordable price? I couldn't really see anything on ebay at the mo.

Also is Maniac Mansion good? I loved Day of the Tenticle, is it as good as that and can you get it on disc?

    FOA is on eBay: http://video-games.search.ebay.com/fate-of-atlantis_Video-Games_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQfromZR40QQsacatZ1249QQsatitleZQ22fateQ20ofQ20atlantisQ22

If you want an affordable price, you'll have to be patient. I kept my eye on auctions and got it for $28 (that was a full boxed edition). I don't think they re-released this one.

If you have Day of the Tentacle you already have Maniac Mansion. You can also get Maniac Mansion Deluxe for free right here: http://www.gamershell.com/download_5988.shtml
It's an updated version with better grahpics and sound.
MM is not as good as DOTT. Not by a long shot.

As for FOA.... I downloaded it for free.

I've got DOTT on disc and I know you play MM in the game but I thought that was a sample of it?

    Where did you download FOA?

I was hoping LucasArts was going to re-release it along with the film but no luck darn.

no, it's the full thing...you can also make a copy of the mm-folder and rename the starting file (mm.* or mmansion.whatever, i forgot the name) to .exe and you have a standalone game.

All three parts? What do you mean?

I finished the thing, if that's what you mean.

I assume they mean, the Wits path, the Fists path, and the Cooperative path.
I am pretty sure I have finished the game playing through all 3 paths, but it's been a while since I've played. Looking forward to playing again on the Wii when the new Indy game is released.

Is it wrong that I am more excited about the inclusion of Fate of Atlantis than I am about the actual retail game? :p

NO! Buy the game at all costs! We want lucasarts to know!
Oh, wait, if lucasarts knows, does that mean Telltale Games is screwed?

Now I don't know what to do.

Don't worry . I think TellTale is not in a risky position. They are being praised across the board and the Lucasart folks that worked on these games are now on TellTale's payroll:P

i don't think many people capable of making adventure games are still at lucas arts, many have moved on and joined other companies such as ttg
