Two more copyright claims!
So two more of my videos got copyright claims on them. The first one is administered by Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc. And they are claiming "Winding Road(short ver.)", sound recording" WTF!
The second one is the "TAKE US BACK" song at the and of Episode 5 of Season 1. And that one is being administered by AKM, KODA_CS, TONO_CS, SACEM, TEOSTO_CS, and UMPI. Who the hell are these people!?

Its automated. Its a new system where bots automatically search videos for anything that could be related to copyright. These arent people, and its out of the hands of most publishers as they arent deciding which things count as a copyright infringement, its a youtube bot deciding automatically. Its a crappy system and loads of people are unhappy about it as it is effecting a lot of things publishers would be perfectly fine with.
So I shouldn't have a problem disputing them, like I did the other claim?
Oh this new YouTube-System is really... uhm, yeah crappy is the right word.
I have a question related to this problem: How can I get a permission to produce my own "Let's play"-Videos of Telltale Games? I wrote an e-mail some time ago, but there was no response to that yet... I really would like to get a permission for TWD:S2, so I can get started just the release date comes.
Greetings from Germany.
As far as I know, Telltale is fine you with producing Let's Plays of their stuff so long as you aren't directly monetizing it. I don't know how the line is drawn as far as Youtube partnerships are concerned, but there are plenty of channels out there making Let's Plays of Telltale's games and Telltale doesn't really seem to mind or if they do aren't doing very much about it. Hell, they even sent some of those LPers Clementine hats...

I know and I love Telltale for their fan-friendly behavior! But a permission like "Hey, you can use our material if you don't monetize it. We love your passion to our games!" would be great. Especially in times like these on YouTube.
Well, it was from quite a while ago and it wasn't directed at you but one of the Telltale staffers gave the official word on Telltale's stance when it comes to Let's Plays here.
So I Emailed TellTale support to find out if these claims are false, (I'm pretty sure that they are) before disputing them. If I don't hear back from then. What do you guys recommend I do?
So no advice on what I should do? Should I just dispute these claims? Or should I wait for TellTale to get back with me?
As far as I know, Telltale doesn't care if people do Let's plays. Wait a week or so and if they don't, I say dispute.
Yeah. I think the only time they would send a copyright is if your monetizing off of the video. Which I'm not.
Well, I'm still waiting for Telltale to get back to me. Last time it only took an hour. This time it's been twelve hours and still nothing. I don't want to dispute these claims if they are valid claims. Hopefully they will get back to me tomorrow, other wise I might just take my chances and dispute the two claims.
Edit. I decided to just dispute both claims. The one by Sony was for a fact a mistake. It thought the sound of the wind was part of the song "winding Roads" which in the beginning has the sound of the wind blowing. And as for the other. I just don't see how any of those groups could have the rights to the song "Take Us Back" so hopefully I'll hear something soon.
Well. I won the first claim against the song TAKE US BACK. But I just got anther group trying to claim it. If this keeps up I might just cut that song out just to avoid all this. Still waiting to hear about the other claim though (the one for winding Roads).
