the first telltale game to have an actual "cheat code"?

So out of boredom waiting for the strong bad game... i decided to replay hard evidence the other day... but while looking online for game walkthroughs and FAQs i found that there is an actual cheat code for this game...

if you enter your name as "CONFESSION" it will open all 5 cases right from the get go... you can then play them in any order (or not at all if you choose so)

was this an intentional add, or is it a remnant from some sort of long lost debug mode?

(speaking of which, does hard evidence even have a debug menu? i seem to recall it did, but i forget now)

I have never heard of this, and since I was often looking for easy access to all five cases, I think the team would have told me about it. :p

Did you try it? Does it actually work?

right after entering your name you go straight into case 1, but you can just exit and go to the case select screen...

Did we forget to mention this to you? Ooops. :p

Actually, this went in pretty late and I believe it was added while testing console language conversions. I knew there was a code, but I don't think I was ever actually told what it was. I thought it was "Grissom", but I guess that would have been too easy to guess and would have lead to people accidentally unlocking that mode.

All the times I can think of that I needed access to later cases were when we were back in the old office, so that would have been July or earlier. So yeah, this was probably added after I actually needed it. :p
