If Omid would die in the first episode..
It would be, in my opinion, the most unfair death so far. 90% of all other deaths were of people who were always slightly controversial, mostly. Kenny/Larry hit the top of the controversial part. Only a few didn't get it coming, Carley and Bree comes to my mind mostly.
Omid is just a much more likable person and funny, even though I like Kenny as a character and his story arc.
I await the final hours, and hope that Omid will survive.

I think Christa & Omid might be seperated.
The way I feel, seeing the trailers, is that Clem is somehow forced to seperate from Omid and Christa. Hench, these weird unknown people, a whole group of them. I bet Clem doesn't like them at all.
