People will call this spam, but I just gotta say this!I read on IGN that Capcom is making Mega Man 9 for Wii Ware! The bosses will be:
Magma Man
Galaxy Man (Astro Man Relation?)
Jewel Man
Concrete Man(Hard Man Relation?)

They're good games, so long as you're willing to willing to deal with the fact that they're all more or less exactly the same, except for different bosses who are ALL something-man.

I'm hoping Plug Man is Plug-in sort of plug and not Bath Plug.We (People who've played Mega Man 7) all know what happened to Spring Man. Household objects without electricity make bad bosses.

Certainty looks good, but is something I would rather play on the DS.

    Woo-hoo!

I'm really looking forward to this. I was always a big fan of the classic Megaman games. I'm really glad to see a new chapter in the series after so long.

I'm really liking the classic 8-bit graphic style as well. I've seen some disagreement on the graphics, but yeah, I like it a lot.

    Make it go away!

Mega Man has a mid-life crisis for his debut, apperently.

This is has got to be one of the smartest moves in the industry. A new 8-bit game?? That is just plain awesome. Now, can Sega learn and make a Sonic V?

    "Exobably not."

Seeing as PC isn't on that list... I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you...

from what i saw the game will look like the old megaman releases..so 9 will look more retro than 8. i find this a bit odd..:D

Eh, now Capcom decided that it's wiiware only.

I thought it was awesome news! I can't wait to play another classic style megaman.

O bought it really just so I could have that awesome cover art. Got an excellent game, to!

Okay, I bought the 20th anniversary Nintendo Power issue, and it had an article about this so, I'll copy it word for word here(Note: I did not write any of this, I'm just typing the article's contents. Please don't sue me.)

"True Blue The Blue Bomber is back-and WiiWares got him-in Mega Man 9.

Mega Man is back.We don't mean Zero, or some Net Navi, or some dude with a Biometal-we mean the original Mega Man that started it all.

Ah, screw it.I'll just give a summary of what I think is important.Three questiones in the Keiji Inafune interview.

Will it use only two buttons and the Crontol Pad like the NES days, or will it make use of the additional controls?

You hold the Wii remote horizontally.Just like the NES versions, the control pad contols Mega Man and the two buttons are Jump and Fire.

What new special forms of transportation will Mega Man have(akin to the Rush vehicles in Mega Man 3, for example)?

There aren't any new mechanical devices in the game, but fans will be happy to know that Rush is definitely in there.

Will there be any playable characters aside from Mega Man himself?

That's classified! You'll have to wait and see!

Man I sucked at Mega Man (though most kids probably did). My friend and I left his NES on during school days for about a week so we could come back exactly where we left off in our game in the evenings.

Luckily, this was incorrect, and it's indeed coming to PS3 as well. At least according to the E3 trailer which was released *after* the 'WiiWare only' news.

Must be one of the harder platformers back in the day. When you go back and play the games, there's some ridiculous timing required to avoid falling into your death. The difficulty was part of what made it so good. The Bosses were actually hard, isntead of the vanilla stuff we face in games nowdays. Good times. :)

Dr. Wily looks like Darth Vader, Beetlejuice, and the Borg all mixed together.

Mega Man reminds me of Tron (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tron_(film)) for some strange reason...

I honestly don't believe Capcom can remake the magic.

    I hope they can.

Well they did it with me for resident evil 4 and they made new magic with Okami.
  • edited August 2008
Yet Clover still hasn't come back. I admit I thought Okami was okay though thinking the ending was extremely lacking.

It is indeed coming out on all 3 systems, but I couldn't imagine playing it on an xbox or playstation controller. The Wiimote is where it's at if you want to play the old NES experience!Although I do remember playing Mega Man 8 on the PS1...

On a topic unrelated to this quote, I really liked the Mega Man Battle Network RPGs.They were some of the best games I ever played....until Disney screwed them up by making a cartoon series of it and taking over developement of the fifth game.
  • edited September 2008
    Disney did that?OKAY.NOW I'VE F*@#$*^) HAD IT.

Just got my first mega man game (2) on VC. I'm a lot better than I used to be at ANY sidescrolling shooting platformer.
