Could anything Telltale might do make you stop playing?

  • I felt it was short, however I thought that every second mattered and was intense. But yeah man I'm defiantly like you, I would love to see the "lighter" moments (There were some) however, I think Telltale really wanted to focus on Clementine's "new" character in the first episode which didn't allow you to build the relationships which would allow "lighter" dialogue. We will see as I literally can not wait!

  • At what point did I ever say I loathed Kenny? And at what point did I ever criticize anyone speculating his possible return? Personally, I wouldn't surprised one bit if he made a return, and I wouldn't be upset about it either.

The only thing I criticize is people claiming Telltale is teasing Kenny's return by pointing things out that simply aren't there, and then getting mad when it turns out that it's not Kenny. It's not hindsight that Nick's clothes are different. You can go back and take a closer look and see that they are different from the beginning. It was even pointed out by forum members before the episode was released.

Nick wasn't wearing Kenny's clothes in the trailer. Kenny's hat had a white stripe in the middle, Nick's was a solid color. What everyone assu

Allow me to use this quote again:

Telltale isn't trolling the community with Kenny hints so much as the community trolling themselves with Kenny theories.

I've seen this kind of patronizing attitude displayed all over the forum, and quite frankly I've had enough. If Telltale didn't dress Nick in identical clothes to Kenny, they definitely went out of their way to give them an uncanny resemblance. (Seriously, just watch the way Nick moves when he's carrying a rifle.) I didn't say it was outright trolling on Telltale's part, just teasing. But I think the claims that Telltale deliberately made Nick's physical appearance similar to Kenny's are founded, and don't deserve to be prematurely mocked.

  • I'm interested if you ever do wish to share it?

I have a theory as to how (and when) they'll bring Kenny back in a way that could make all parties satisfied, but I'd rather not say in case I turn out to be wrong.

  • I actually posted a thread about it, but since nobody replied, I just assumed the idea wasn't popular. So I abandoned it.

I will point out that both ways Kenny can "die" purposely leave the door open for him to still be alive. In fact, you even have to choose a dialogue option (in both cases) to declare that he's dead or say that he might have survived. He was clearly not unarguably killed off in season one. If he shows up, it isn't a silly rabbit from a hat trick. It was already foreshadowed quite prominently in the first season.

if kenny comes back alive i wont be playing anymore most likely. I say this because like if lee came back, it would greatly cheapen the story

  • ummmm when did I ever even say anything about Clem? And so what? I fail to see your point...

There were just as many fans on this board who claimed they wouldn't play season 2 if the PC was Clementine. I think those same fans are playing the game anyway, no matter how much they grumble about it.

  • Wrong. I said it. I didn't buy it. I watched a walkthrough. Next.

  • They had already lost me. I got 400 days, thought perhaps it would be more interesting. It was okish. Heard about the release of Season 2 and decided to watch the walkthrough to see if it was worth buying. It wasn't. I like Clem a little bit more since she's more self reliant but the game isn't one that I want to play anymore. That doesn't mean I don't want to see how the story goes....hence the walkthrough view.

  • Wait, they left?!!?!? When did this happen!?!?

The series can't survive this ebarrassing piece of shit. It's a joke that makes it clear why the guys behind season one left the company..

  • What about Lee's death?

Since they haven't killed off any characters solely for 'shock value, you should be safe.

  • What's The Wire?

Oh man, The Wire was a fantastic show.

  • Nothing! UNLESS they kill Clem unhonorably like Omid!

  • Hence your name "ClemClemForever"

If they take Clementine from me I'm fucking done...

Of course. Don't people watch movies or TV shows ? Major characters's deaths are always shown on screen to add to the emotional impact. When such a death is not shown, it's for a reason.

For me, it's not the fact that you had to kill the dog. It's the fact that the dog was written to be the friendliest entity in the entire series (besides Clementine) and you spent all this time bonding and throwing frisbees, and with no obvious bite marks to indicate he was infected. And they were building him up to be your companion for all of the season, possibly helping you along the way (and being a fuzzy pillow to cry on). And then all of a sudden, the dog goes psycho and tries to kill you over a few beans?

The writing was a bit sloppy and all over the place in the episode. What happened to Christa's baby? How did the random girl in the beginning manage to avoid being seen by both Omid and Christa, when one of them was standing right outside the door? How did Carlos know you had help from Sarah? And I wish you wouldn't be blamed for letting someone die when you could only choose one person.

I just don't get this.. How can a dog dying be a line that just SHOULDN'T be crossed? Humans being torn apart and eaten alive is somehow less

  • Shocking, yes. Pointless, no.

Sorry guys, But as much as I love the series if Clem dies then I probably won't play anymore. I feel such a strong bond with this character that it would be extremely hard for them to replicate it.

So yea, Clemmy dying = Me no longer play :P
