"I Thought You Were Dead" Prediction

edited December 2013 in The Walking Dead

So everyone has been trying to figure out who the character Clem was talking about in the preview for episode 2 of season 2 when Clem looked at an unknown character in a surprised expression and uttered the words "I thought you were dead!". I think the general consensus is that it's either Lily, Kenny, or Christa. But everyone seems to have forgotten about that one guy at the very end of the episode who was hurt that was part of the group that held Christa at gunpoint. Remember? The guy you could choose to give water to? Why was that a major decision? It must affect some future event? So I think that maybe that guy is the person Clem is referring to when she said, "I thought you were dead". I don't know it's just a guess but I'd like to hear your guy's opinions :D

  • yes it could be him

  • I have been saying this all along, but it seems everyone wants Kenny back soo much they see him everywhere. yeah I totally agree that is the dying guy. Pretty sure Kenny is dead and Lilly... Well it just does seem to fit with "I thought you were Dead" Clem has no idea what happened to Lilly.

  • Hey a theory that actually holds a shred common sense and doesn't lead to writing that sounds like it was done by a 5th grader.

It could be him. He looked pretty bad off though and on top of that he was just left in that shape with a horde of walkers.

  • Key word is "I THOUGHT you were dead" Could be anybody who Clem believed could have died, Which includes Lilly, Kenny, Christa etc....

  • I don't think it's him. I doubt Telltale would leave a huge cliffhanger like that if it wasn't a significant character.

  • Yeah and also Telltale completely trolled us with Nick making us think it was Kenny in the trailer. I feel like if Kenny does come back, they're just going to drag it out to like episode 4 or 5 and continue to troll us. But that's what makes Telltale awesome, is that they're fan base is totally involved with the game and have pointless arguments over it lol. In my opinion, that's what makes a good game.

  • Yeah but that gives a reason for him to be in this new group. Maybe they saved his life? It also explains why Clem would think he is dead and was surprised. If it was Kenny she would be smiling, same with Molly. Lily on the other hand, it depends on how Lee treated her so...

  • We don't know that was a "Major" choice, It could just been a minor thing to see if you would show a bandit who chased Christa some mercy and give him some water before he died. Pete might have saw you, He might say something about it later (Assuming you saved him of course)

Telltale is trying to troll us like they did with Nick in the trailer, making everyone believe it could be Kenny. Also why would giving that guy water show up in the final MAJOR choices if it didn't affect the future somehow?

  • Well that's just like the dog decision. That's just about mercy as well. I'm sure it won't come up later.

could be idk but it was in the choices at the end where it shows what everyone picked, and usually those are somewhat important for future out

But you could be right there are a lot of opinions in TWD that don't mean a lot but i just find it strange that it appears in the overall choices at the end of the episode. BUT it also could just be that they needed another decision and just decided to throw him in there for the sake of doing so.

  • What about Chet? LOL.

  • well yeah but it kinda did have an impact on what you could say but i guess you're right that was about it so idk, maybe the group while heading to the mountains in episode 2 see that dog and question you about it but that's unlikely :/
