i think it was almost same distance. clem could run and get the gun when she heard door noise.
Yeah I agree, that scene was a little irritating since Omid even foreshadowed: "don't lose track of your things".
But from a non-gaming perspective, if I was actually there, I would do what Clem did so oh well.
For all she knew the person coming in had a gun of their own and would shoot her if he surprised them.
Or it could have been Omid or Christa.
