Did ____ turn?
So, it just struck me...
Omid was shot in his Chest region, and you only see Christa mourn before the time skip of 16 Months.
Since nothing more is said, it can be assumed that Omid has turned and perhaps makes a Cameo as a Walker....
Do you think Christa or Clementine shot Omid in the head, to prevent him from turning?
Or, should they not, will we see Omid again in Season 2 as a Walker?

I was honestly thinking that was going to have to be my next choice before it went to the 16 month time skip.
I feel bad for the next person to have to take a leak at gils gas station. theres two walkers in the girls room now.
I don't think they would, should they be Walkers, stay at that Restroom for all eternity...
But to steer back to topic here... Having no info on Omids fate feels like a total loose end. I am 100% certain that we have not seen, or at least heard about, Omid for the last time.
No, it is said by Ben, I believe, early on in Episode 2 of Season 1, that you turn upon dying, wheter or not you were bitten.
That is the reason, why Kenny was so keen on killing Larry at the end of Episode 2, despite him being not bitten.
Ben said in episode 2 that you still turn bitten or not and said that the only way to stop a person from turning is to destroy the brain.
i thought you only turn if you're bit by a walker.
No, the bite just kills you. You'll turn no matter what.
no you don't... its actually a big part of the whole storyline (comics/tv show/games), everyone's infected. Also didn't you hear the whole lecture given from Ben during your playthrough of season 1? that is, presuming you did play season 1 ofcourse.

yeah another thing Ben did to piss me off. he ruined the surprise that you turn no matter how you die. I got into the game before the show.
When I saw Christa look at the pistol, I thought she was going to shoot herself. Doubt they'd have left Omid though.
I played season 1 and i remember Ben, Lilly, and Larry and what Ben said but i don't remember someone becoming a walker from being shot.

This scene kind of confused me. I wonder if it was all left unsaid what happens with Omid and their baby for a reason. I'm not even an Omid fanboy, I guess I just find it odd that they wouldn't show if they shot him or what happened to the baby. But I always kind of took that intro as a reminder what kind of world were stepping back into, and given that it can be assumed that they shot Omid, and did what had to be done.

But with Omid and Christas baby, being not mentioned thereafter... It seems just... odd
I'm pretty sure they shot him in the head to prevent him from turning and gave him a proper burial. It would be pretty heartless for them not to.

Because the scene was sad enough, there was no need to inflict more pain on the player who by this stage was in deep shick given he died in the first 5 mins which no one expected
If you listen when the walking dead logo appears just after omid dies you can hear what sounds like a gunshot, and just before that christa looked at Clem's gun, so maybe she when it cut to "the walking dead" and the gunshot sound went off, it was christa shooting omid in the head.
Well, he was probably buried, so Zomid has a lot of digging to do before he can bite anyone.
