What do you think so far?
Obviously drawing conclusions from the first and only episode of the season is bad, but we are going to do it anyways. I love what they are doing, my feelings have already been thrown around multiple times in just an hour and a half. They have moved Clem to a new level of interesting, S1 Clem was, dare I say it, a very static character, she never changed much from begining to end(excluding the very end -RIP-) and I can't wait to see where they are taking her. The complete change of cast wasn't a choice I have completely jumped on board with but I'll make do. There are a few problems I see with this episode though, mainly two: Length) At just an hour and a half this episode was very short. The worst part is that even though it was short it felt extremely rushed! At times, after sections, I found myself asking why that was a short 10 minutes and not extended to 20 minutes. Slow down TTG, we all have the time, or will make the time, to sit and play the masterpiece you are trying to make (again). Also Dialogue) Major, major, lack of the most important component this game has to offer. There was nearly no open world conversations. Pushed conversations are great and needed to continue the story, but optional conversations are what made S1 the game of the year it was. I feel nothing at all for any of the characters in that cabin, not even the two that rescued me from walkers even after seeing the bite wound, or the one that wishes I would just leave (ergo: die). I have read other posts saying things like "it will be in episode two" and that's great, it should be, but they have missed an opportunity in the cabin that they won't get again. Even if the others didn't want to speak to me at all (though I'm sure Pete, Nick, and Luke would have all welcomed additional conversation) then I should have gottten the chance to see that. Getting the cold shoulder or hate fuled scowl from prego and her spineless lacky would have pushed the sentiment of 'get out' home. I still can't get enough of this adventure and can't wait for Ep2! How do you think they are doing? What have they done right or wrong? Good or bad? Over or under-done? Do my arguments hold merit or just idiotic vices? Let me know what you all think!
P.S. I am new to the forum so if I have done anything wrong here I apologize.

Thought the episode was good at building the foundations. Got us straight back into the grittiness and harshness of the WD world and did have some great writing and decisions, even the bittersweet nod to Lee during the dinner conversation. Built up the characters well and have left a lot to speculate about (Rebecca's pregnancy, Nick/Pete fate etc) and a great cliffhanger.
Saying that, however, do agree with some of your points. It seemed like TellTale were forcefully guiding us through the scenes, especially the end scene where Pete and Nick are dismissive, although with good reason, and the escape from the shed. Wasn't much opportunity to talk with characters at the same extent as S1E1. Felt that the episode could have been longer and with more options and the time-jumps could have been explored further, but aside from that it wasn't too bad. Certainly left a lot for the next episodes, but not as gripping as S1E1.
