Telltale, thank you for making my year.

edited December 2013 in General Chat

In December of last year, a little game called The Walking Dead won Game of the Year at Spike's VGA's. Curious, I used what little money I had remaining from my pay to purchase the first of this episodic series: A New Day. That was December 14th of 2012. On December 31st, I finished the final episode of the five-part series: No Time Left. From there, I began to watch a show I'd heard much praise for previously, but never had the chance to get into. The game series I had just finished dictated my choice: I would watch The Walking Dead TV series. After catching up and finishing the first and second season of the TV series, as well as the first half of the third, I watched into a new year. The Walking Dead became a Sunday tradition for me, and influenced my decision to create a Tumblr and Twitter account, to blog about my love for games such as these. I began to read the comics, and had very frequent discussions about them with my dad.

Fast forward a while to October, 2013, a dying period of my gaming career. Enter: The Wolf Among Us. A breath of fresh air made by the best storytellers of all time. Simply put, I fell in love with yet another masterpiece by Telltale Games, and was introduced to my favorite video game character of all time: Bigby Wolf. After playing Faith, eager for more Bigby, I began to read Fables. I actively read Fables as often as I possibly can, and have since branched into another Vertigo comic series: Sandman. Sandman and Fables revitalized my love for comics, and since October, I have purchased a multitude of Vertigo and Marvel comics. This was all because of a company called Telltale Games.

So, here I am, finally on these forums to share my love for Telltale with other people, and have absolutely no shame in it. I'd just like to thank you Telltale Games, for introducing me to such a vast world of comics, TV series, and for providing me with two of the best games I've ever played. I look forward to each month of 2014 carrying another episode of my little girl Clementine, and detective Bigby Wolf, as well as a few new faces. Cheers to a good year, and here's to another.
