Snow and Faith might be...

WARNING: CONTAINS HEAVY COMIC SPOILERS!
So, I was thinking about snow's death and the fact that she is alive in the comics. Since everybody is saying that the game is cannon with the comics, I was thinking how Snow was going to be brought back. But then it hit me, what if she and faith were never dead in the first place? When we try to look faith in the mirror, it responds that her whereabouts are concealed by heavy magic. This leads me to believe that there is more to the situation than meets the eyes. There might be some kind of conspiracy going on with one of the 13th floor witches that involves faking snow's and faith's deaths. Remember when Snow first talks about Faith's name? Wolf corrects her saying that her name WAS Faith(in response to Snow saying her name IS faith). When Snow and Wolf go talk to the prince snow seems very worried about how you are going to handle it, it made me suspicious that she knows what is going on between faith and the prince and wants to protect the prince. The letter Faith leaves(Im sorry) might mean: Im sorry I faked my death. Also, we know from the comics that Ichabod Crane has been expeled from fabletown for beign involved in some shady business. What if snow and faith are in some kind of conspiracy to bring to light Ichabod's schemes? Maybe Ichabod is in league with the pimp and Snow and Faith are planing a way to fake their deaths and work in the shadows to bring Ichabod's schemes to light(remember wolf threatening ichabod in the previw? Maybe he found out). Wolf might be beign used because they need his reactions to be realistic and kept him out of the loop. Just a theory.

  • Thanks for the bold warning, stop me from reading.

  • Nice observation - i would of never thought of it that way.

  • I've never read the comics but I do kind of wonder about Faith's ribbon. It seems to be right around her neck where it was cut and her head was severed, and she goes out of her way to have you make note of it. I really don't know what it could mean, if anything, but it was certainly left open ended. I definitely don't think that's the last we'll see of Snow or Faith.

COMIC AND POSSIBLY GAME SPOILERS BELOW

Snow dying in the game doesn't go against her being alive in the comic. The Fables life and strength are tied to mundy belief in and knowledge of them. So Snow White can die but she'll come back to life almost immediately because her story is so well known. Same for Bigby. In the comic Jack makes himself immortal and the strongest Fable of all by producing movies about himself. Just because she was decapitated doesn't mean she won't be perfectly fine by the end of the season. Assuming, of course, that your theory of it all being faked isn't correct.
Faith, on the other hand, won't come back at all, or it'll take a long time, because of how obscure her story is.

  • I always wondered if Snow was hiding some things. I may just be totally crazy but the looks she gave the ginger guy as Snow and Bigby were going down to find Faith's head were kind of nervous looks. It seemed she and the ginger knew something. I mean like if he had come from outside wouldn't he have seen the head too? Wouldn't the ginger have run straight up to Bigby to tell him about it? But then again the ginger looked a little nervous too. Maybe Snow told him not to report Faith's death in order to keep him in the background. Also Snow "dying" makes it look like she wanted Bigby to be really focused on this case (him and Snow were close so now the whole thing is personal). If Snow is really behind all this maybe its because she really wants Crane out of office. Remember she was upset that she couldn't help other fables who asked for help because of the way Crane wanted things to be run.In my opinion I think this theory could be somewhat possible and it could really twist the story (considering everyone sees Snow as an open person, nice, and helpful person). I just feel like shes hiding some things and her reactions are a little weird. As I said earlier maybe I'm just totally crazy and need to get a grip but I think TellTale would try this (a nice helpful girl that has more to do with this than we can see).

  • That is one in-depth theory, really makes ya think...

  • MORE COMIC SPOILERS
Well. She did survive a shot to the head. But ins't decapitation too much? I don't know how you can survive that, even beign a fable. But maybe you're right, Frau Totenkinder survived beign burned and came back while she was just a skeleton(1001 Nights of Snowfall). And Snow is the daughter of a powerfull sorcerer. Maybe she can also come back. But I can't remember any fables coming back from beign headless. I still think the theory is sound, exceptionally because Snow isn't above murder and I don't think she would have a problem with framing Ichabod (she is the one responsible for him beign kicked out of oficce because of a sexual harassment report). Maybe the sexual harassment is just a ruse and Ichabod is on the run because he is guilty of more terrible crimes (he turned a blind eye to Hansel's and Jack's murders). Why would Bigby go for the trouble of finding him, framing him and murdering him just because of sexual harassment?

  • All I know is I ain't purchasing the next episodes until I get confirmation that telltale didn't pull another Carly on us

  • Your thread titles contains sort-of spoilers (by saying they 'might be alive' you're implying that they've died). Please try and avoid that in future.

  • Sorry about that. I was going to fix it, but I see you already did. Thanks.

  • When Bigby clarifies that her name WAS Faith, he's merely reiterating that Faith is dead. That she isn't "anything" anymore. That's what I got from that scene. Good theory all around though!

Charming is blown up, completely vaporized and comes back. Sure, he was calling himself the Marharaja but that doesn't matter for this example, that he came back from that does. I don't think how they die has anything to do with their ability to come back.
Only character I remember getting decapitated hasn't resurrected, and if I recall they mention something to keep him from resurrecting being done, but has repeatedly shown up as a ghost and no one could never argue was as popular and as known as Snow White.
