Let's dream : you'd get whichever one was your friend
I dream that who actually shows up in next episode depends on your season 1 game.
Players who supported Lilly the most would have Lilly, players who supported Kenny the most would get Kenny.
Wouldn't that be just great ? It would be the most satisfying solution for everyone.
The game would sort of calculate how much "Kenny points" and "Lilly points" your Lee earned during first season, some decisions weighing more than others (cold room situation, leaving Lilly or taking her in, etc...) and in s2e2 tada ! The one you trusted and supported the most is the one that made it, because Lee's support gave that person this little extra will to live and hope whereas Lee's contempt or absence of support made the other feel worthless and lose the will to struggle.
This would be the best way from Telltale to make us feel that our choices matter after all.
And if we could have either Doug or Carley in season 1, why wouldn't it be possible to have either Kenny or Lilly, even if it was only for one episode before both parallel worlds reunite (through the death or departure of your -well, Lee's- old friend).
I really hope this happens.

Or knowing Telltale they'll calculate your Lilly and Kenny points and whoever came out on top got killed and you were stuck with the other one
I could have either, I don't mind either character but I would prefer them both to survive. If that happened I think I would end up with Kenny because I sided with him more times than I did with Lilly even though I tried my hardest to remain neutral of the time.
