My way or My Way.

edited January 2014 in The Walking Dead

I am making a thread where we can all come and share things we would change, could see being interesting, being done better, and other things of the like. (Only for episode(s) already out.)

My first change would have been a simple one. When speaking to Luke in the cabin one of the conversations goes something similar to:
Clem:
"I ran away, and he died because of it." (refering to Lee)
Luke:
"Maybe he would have died anyway."
Clem:
"It was my fault. I just... sometimes people die because of me."

Personally I would have loved if there was an option to just say "No." at the last line.

What phrases would you have changed? Which ones did you find perfect? Which ones made tears swell on the sides of you eyes? What actions would you have changed? Which ones did you find perfect? Which ones made you bawl like a child? :)

Comments

  • I would have removed Clementine saying to Pete "You guys are going to have to trust me eventually"(or something along those lines)
Come on Clem, you just met these people last night.

  • I agree, she did steal from them like, 8 hours before? lol

  • i would have liked to see more of clem showing she's not a "child" any more when you choose to control the preggo bitch about the baby daddy. "what'd you say "bitch you hearddddd me!" but you get the idea.

  • So... a Tell Alvin option? lol

  • For her to not say sorry to that damn dog after it savaged her. i think a mercy kill was more than it deserved it didnt deserve an apology.

I would have added a less biased line to Episode 1 Season 1 where Larry wants to throw Kenny's kid out. You can either side with Kenny and act violent towards Larry, or side with Larry and try and throw Kenny's kid out. No matter what Lee says, it just provokes everyone else. At least he should have an option to TRY and calm it down, even if it doesn't work.
And what Firewallcano said about not saying sorry to the dog, but the dog was hungry as well, and dogs get like that when people take their food. The dog didn't know better. Cut it a bit of slack.

  • She said sorry. Are you stupid?

He wants an option to have her NOT say sorry, which I think you can get by just not saying anything.

  • I dont care its still stupid. This is nof a game where you can remain silent and just talk when you want.

  • I thought that the dog will continue to Clem that he would protect her and to be with friends but the developers did this to us again :) I dripped a tear as I had to kill the dog that was vlidu to suffer: ((

You can't not say sorry because you're not Clementine. Her character is sorry. She's not a ruthless and resentful person. You give her guidance, but you can't completely change who she is.

  • I wish season 2 had begun where season 1 left us : the scene in the fields with the two silhouettes, making the suspense from s1 cliffhanger resurface for a moment, before providing us with a feeling of relief and joy and a touching scene of reunion, Clementine running to them and bursting in tears of both relief and exhaustion before Omid would take her in his arms, showing for once a more serious, loving side of his personality.

And only then we would have the actual beginning of season 2 as we played it.

Because I think the cliffhanger from season 1 deserved better than this anti-climatic realization that it was Omid and Christa after all because you're walking with them somewhere months later.

  • To my knowledge the game is exactly the opposite of what you stated.

  • I wish there was an option to publicly denounce Rebeccas lack of skill at mating with the correct person.

  • Omid's death. It seemed a bit forced. I mean, in real life, Omid woulda've acted fast enough to take away her gun. Plus, it was right in the beggining.

  • In real life zombie Apocalypse doesn't exist lol

  • And even if you could, who would want to change her like that?

  • I agree, not only would it have had a great tie in with the endig of S1 but it would have made Omid's death a lot more heartbreaking.

  • In season 1 we were basically forced to convince Hershel that the fence needs to be reinforced, which sucked cuz i really wanted to see the game being un-canon to the comics.

  • I actually like the canon setting of the game, I hope we don't have any other run-ins with other comic characters, but knowing the universes are connected gives it a sense of scale to me. I also hope that we don't have anymore run-ins because the comics are too dark for my taste, TTG TWD is about as bloody as I will go for a good story. Why did you want to see it being un-cannon?
