Global scope of the infection
Well, since we don't know how far the infection have spread over the whole world, I assume there might be some places on earth where infection haven't gotten into. Perhaps there is a whole continent untouched and living happy lives.
We seen as characters of TWD aquired different military hardware (they had a working tank, ffs), so if I was one of them, I would travel to the nearest airport/airfield, steal a plane (even little cessna would do) and began my travel over a world to find safe places. I think it's better to try or die trying, then living like people in TWD do, isolated and fighting each other.
