Nick and Pete

edited January 2014 in The Walking Dead

So I wanted to have a discussion about something other than "who do you like the best?" or "who did you save?", because clearly there's a majority of people who made the same perticular decision.

What I wanted to discuss was the possibility of these characters surviving past the second episode. When you pick Nick you can see Pete get overwhelmed by walkers, so I'll make the assumption that he's dead by that point.
When you pick Pete you can see Nick running off back towards the house, alive and well and with ammunition left. So I'll assume he's still alive.

If you look at the Carley & Doug situation, in the end it didn't even matter who we chose to save, they both died in the end. So taking that into consideration I'm curious if Pete and Nick will both be dead by the end of the next episode. What do you think? Seems so unlikely for Telltale to make one option the "better one", whereas you can save the lifes of two people instead of just one.

Do you think they both will die, or do you think the one you chose to save will survive and the other will die?

  • Well, Telltale said that they were gonna try to make bigger ramifications on the choices, so I think that if you save Pete and Nick survives, they'll die in different ways and timelines. Hopefully...

  • I'm pretty sure one way or another Pete/Nick will die. What i do hope is that saving Pete does count for something, personally i'd be pretty mad if Pete dies by the end of ep 2. To answer your question, i think depending on your choices, they/he will live through ep 2. Although just like Carley/Doug i can't see them surviving ep 3.

  • It would be pretty interesting if one choice gives you just Nick and the other one Nick and Pete. After all, Pete was the only one that needed help. This would mean pickig Pete would clearly be the best choice. I don't know if that has ever happened before. And I'd like to see at least one of them survive episode 2 as a minimum.
