Which character has done the worst thing?

edited January 2014 in The Walking Dead

In advance: sorry for my english. I am not a native speaker.

Where would you put Vernon in a villain ranking in season 1? I place the St. Johns first but I think Vernon shares second place with the stranger. The last one went clearly out of mind after losing his family, but Vernon left the group to a sure death in a city that was overrun by walkers with all his clear senses. In the tower in Crawford he asked Lee if they came by train. Vernon saw the herd that was following the trainrails at the horizon. (That is at least what I thought at that moment.) So he knew and made the plan to steal the boat instead of warning them and share the boat. Even if the boat was small, for a short time, just to get out of the city, it would be sufficent for all of them. Just look at the little fisherboats filled with hundrets of refugges in the mediterranean sea.
Sure vernon must have been p*ssed that Lees group led the walkers to Savanah and so destroyed their safe refugee, but how could he just leabe Clem to die with them....
My third place goes to Lilly.

The save lot bandits altogether would be the worst so far but one character only would be andy or danny i guess

  • Omid couldn't keep it in his pants at the bathroom

  • The worst thing done by a core group member would be Lilly shooting Carley/Doug, and then Lee dropping Ben. The worst in general would be the St. Johns and Oberson.

  • Okay, but that wasn't done on purpose. He was just stupid or afraid. He is not an "evil" character.

  • Vernon.

The st Johns were sick in the head, Lilly and Kenny did crimes of passion, Lee the same, Ben was unintentional, the bandits were crazy druggies

Vernon chose to not tell the group about the horde and steal the groups boat knowing it would likely lead to there deaths. I undertstand Vernon had his reasons and his own group but he rationally chose to betray a group of people.

  • It's ZA, man: Man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

  • You're right. Omid's gotta do what Omid's gotta do.

  • It was terrible what Vernon did. He was a traitor and a betrayer, especially after what he did to help the group.

    Yes. He is a manipulator.

  • Luke, for dropping Clem.

  • Duck for choosing to be Robin.

The obvious choice would be Kenny or Lilly, but you have to think: In those situations, they were somewhat justified, doing what they thought was good for the group...

I would say the St. Johns, because they eat people. End of story.

  • Lilly wasnt justified in killing Carley or Doug, because they were both innocent. Even if she thought it was good for the group, it clearly wasnt.

  • Well overall the St johns but what Lilly did disappointed me the most because she was a part of our group , Psychopath

  • I totally agree. Lilly was a bitch, and my Lee called her that in front of the whole group. She tried to be a leader, but it never worked.

  • That monster!

    Luke, for dropping Clem.

  • Yeah i called her that too , And left her on the side of the road, and killed her dad , always sided against her , called her crazy, I don't think I missed anything..

  • It's a close call with the Saint Johns, but the Save Lot bandits were one-dimensionally evil. Literally the only group that doesn't try to justify their cruelty by any means.

  • I agree. But their addiction was at least a probable motivation.

  • I really hated the save lots bandits. Fucking rapist assholes. They just seemed like pure evil.

Then the St. John. They were nuttier than they were agressive.

    Last the Stranger. Plain crazy.

I wouldn't include Vernon. He was desperate, although his action were morally questionable. Same goes for Lilly.

  • Chet, he did not even tried to push the car out of the way, lazy bastard!

  • I hate the stranger the most out of anybody. Well, after Becca... I fucking hate Becca.

  • What she did was indeed horrible, but even so, she was thinking for the group. She narrowed it down to Carly and Ben, but she simply handled the situation poorly.

  • Murdering someone is a little more than "handling the situation poorly".

  • it was christa who invited him in though

  • And a man is going to say 'No' to a wife inviting him to a free "nostalgia moment"? Nah uh.

  • Well, if we're including villains, then I'd have to say the St. Johns. Them being crazy isn't justification, they killed people to protect themselves from the bandits, not even for food since they still had the whole dairy.

My second choice would be lilly for killing Carley. Yeah, she was under a lot of stress or whatever, but she MURDERED someone. There's no justification for that.

Vernon I can forgive... barely. He had a reason for what he did, unlike Lilly or the St. Johns. What he did was still awful, but maybe a little more understandable than cannibalism, or murder.

Also, the Stranger is probably the most forgivable villain in the whole franchise.

  • My Lee, for ruining the stranger's life when he was already in total despair.

I tried to be moral the whole game, but the group was starving and I figured the owners of the car were probably dead. By doing that, I made Lee one of the most destructive characters in the game.
