Sam and Max 203 bug/dead end

I got a dead-end right near the end of the game:
Playing as Max, I used the stake on Jurgen but did not pick up another one. Then after switching to the monster, I couldn't pick up a new stake.
When I reloaded the game and picked up another stake after using the first one I could go on.

    Hmm, that's definitely strange. That bug did exist once, but should have been fixed long ago. Well, at least loading the save worked for you. I'll look into it.

    I was really surprised when that happened - the games are usually bug free for me.
