How did you found out about the walking dead video game and when?
I found out about this game last summer.
I was at Mexico visiting my family and I was bored with nothing to do so I ask my Uncle if I can use his computer to play computer games. He had a lot of computer games so I played them until I come across a game called "The Walking Dead". At first I didn't think much about it and though it was just another zombie-killing game but the more I played the soon I realize it was different from other games. I played all the episodes and I end up loving the game. I ask my Uncle to give me a copy the game so I can take it home with me. I also found out that the 400 days and season 2 were coming out soon. So...yeah that's my story tell me your's ?
(SORRY THS WAS KINDA LONG xD)

I found out about it when I saw episode 2 go onto SSOH's youtube channel. I've been in love with the game ever since.
I had heard about it, played the demo, knew i would like it but did not know i would end up liking it as much as i do! lol
I watched someone (Maximus Black) played live when the first is out...
S1E1
I saw what the game can do and tried what I want to test and it works and love how Telltale handled it, even though originally they probably didn't plan on someone choosing all silent responses, lol
I think it wasn't part of the original plan because I noticed some changes being made when I redo that play through and see things changed to suite that style.
I saw a guy play it on youtube , Thankfully the whole game was already out by then so I jumped right in and finished the game within 2 days ( having 2 wait so many months would have killed me)
That's exactly how I fell in love with the game too (Seamus' videos).
Kinda like now?xD
Lol yeah Im not acostumed to having to wait for the episodes to come out so you know How I feel , Well we are all desperate for ep 2 right ?
I was searching for TWD tv show videos on YouTube till' I noticed TellTale's teaser trailer for the game coming soon (lol). Then, I later got a GameInformer magazine talking about the game. So I bought the 1st episode upon release, the rest is history.
Believe me, the wait is worth it.
That we all know it , Its funny how they always leave some kind of cliffhanger to leave you interested for the next 3 months huh ?
I heard the first episode was great from many sites and some friends and liked the license, so I told myself "why not?" Bought the season pass on Steam one particularly lazy afternoon.
I wasn't a big fan of adventure games and I rolled my eyes as soon as I met Clementine. I thought the whole game would be a boring, generic escort mission with yet another little brat. As the minutes passed, those thoughts began to slowly disappear and I fell in love after the scene in the back of the drugstore.
Let's Plays. I watched someone play the first episode, then I said "Hell, I need this game!" and went to buy it.
I honestly tought the game was really bad. After i found out that The Walking Dead was game of the year i was like ''What the @#%$!?'' then i tried out the game and the game was amazing and i replayed it like 6 or 7 times, even my mom played it (lol).
I got obsessed with the game, it's actually pretty weird.
Oh yeah, it's real funny. You hear that TellTale?! It's funny, real fuckin' funny!!!
Hey if it wasn't for the " i thought you were dead " act what the hell would we do all this time ? Lol they know how to play their cards well
The power of Telltale
Indeed, can't imagine what they could pull with the next episode, though.
Some scene in which Kenny is about to die aaaanddd the screen goes black ...... Telltale 2-0 Fans
Saw "Shenmue36" play the first episode (season 1) on youtube. The game came out a few weeks earlier, and it seemed interesting, so I gave it a shot. Bought it on my Bday (May 9th), and the rest is history.
I'd just bitch-slap my TV if that happend.
Best.Name.Ever.
The name kept popping up in other forums (Bethesda, Bioware). People seemed to like it so I decided to try it out.
With the Mass Effect 3 ending debacle the walking dead got mentioned a lot as an example of a well written game, so that got me especially curious.
I heard about the game back when it was first announced in February 2011. I was already a fan of Telltale prior to that, and I thought it was interesting to see Telltale move on from comedy to drama titles. I never would've guessed that Walking Dead would have put Telltale into the mainstream spotlight, as they were mostly known for puzzle based comedy titles from smaller licenses beforehand. However, I think it's cool to see Telltale branch out and I love being able to talk about the newer games from Telltale with some of my friends who would not have discovered Telltale otherwise.
I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled that , They know that will be the best way to punch us in the face
Well I got into the comics first and really liked them then I saw TWD on XBox Live downloaded the first episode and later found out about The Game Of the year edition being released on disc with all the episodes and purchased that.
HAHA, thanx
I think that we're giving them ideas now.
Yeah lets just shut up , They are evil enough themselves for us to be giving them these type of ideas
I came across it when I was looking on the App Store, and it was being advertised as free. I read a few reviews and decided it looked like a good game. I've been a huge fan ever since.
I actually heard about early on but stayed away from it because i didnt like the style of it, but i eventually tried it out and its the best game i have ever played. Dont judge a book by its cover i guess......
Bought it when it came out. I wish I found out later, so most of the episodes would be out already.
I saw it on the front page of the 2012 Steam Christmas Sale and looked at a quick video review and decided to buy it, Best random game perchance ever.
Gamereactor.se. A year ago.
i saw it on the steam market and i had some money left so i bought it when i started playing i really loved the game its amazing i bought all episodes and season 2 and im very excited for episode 2
I heard about the game back in April of 2012. I never payed much attention to it, I was only a fan of the show and the comics (gasp!) back then. I watched a playthrough of episode one and thought it was interesting. Around the time episode 2 came out, I bought the game and became a member of the forums.
S1 was so good, the tv show had become minuscule to me. And I had left reading the comics a while ago.
But S2 on the other hand...
I was checking out a what are you playing screenshot thread on a forum and saw some shots from TWD, instantly wanted to know whats this new walking dead about.
I saw some guy was about to play the wolf among us i watched the first 10 mn i really liked i downloaded it then he mentioned that the same company released the walking dead so i bought it and been a fan ever since
Was a fan of the walking dead so followed it once I heard it was announced
I saw PewDiePie play the entire season, learned about 400 days and S2 (both 'coming soon'), so I bought the game and now I am here
I had never heard of telltale before TWD so when I got my own computer I when I was ten, I discovered Youtube. I watched Minecraft videos a lot and after a while, maybe when I was 12 or 13, I don't remember (14 now) my favourite Minecraft Youtubers, Xeraingaming started doing a lets play of the one and only Walking Dead. So I watched the lets play of episode 1 and I LOVED it. So I searched it up on Youtube and watched more playthroughs, seeing different choices and different stories. I was also drawn to a certain character called Kenny
I waited for more episodes to come out so I could watch them on Xeraingaming's channel. And I may have spoiled the entire game for myself but you know, I couldn't help myself. Several months later after shedding a few small tears at Lee's death, I got an IPad for Christmas and on App Store guess what I found.... The Walking Dead! Episode 1, Free! And I bought it and I played it and it was just as good as it would've been if I hadn't spoiled it for myself. I got all the episodes and did my first playthrough, which mostly revolved around Kenny even though it was my canon.
That's my story.
