Forever confused with Kenny's boat plan/Vernon's group stealing it
I'm new to this forum so I'm sorry if this was brought up before, but Kenny's boat plan has always confused me. He's set on getting on the boat and leaving, but how were they supposed to get the boat to the water? They had no vehicles to get it there. Were they going to pull it through a town full of walkers?
And how did Vernon's group manage to steal the boat? I know it didn't work out for them but I don't think they had a vehicle to even get it out of the garage. Did they pick it up and carry it through a town full of walkers? Maybe I'm just overthinking the situation but I find this situation funny haha.
I love the game, just finished it for the 3rd time, but this part confuses me lol.

It was another flaw in kenny's boat plan, not that we had a batter alternative. Not to mention how they were going to survive once on the water?
This also confused me.
Yeah, in my knowledge the river street was couple blocks away from the house, so maybe Kennys idea was pushing that boat in there (what would be pretty much impossible... unless they had a plan to ringing some bells??) and somehow lowered in to a water, i don't know how bunch of elderly folk pulled this off but that plan went very badly. 2900 pounds can be pretty hard to pushing around walker invested streets
Holy shit, you're right. I never realized this. That is pretty funny :P
I think there was a trailer of sorts they could have attempted to pull/push through the city, but I guess it didn't work out that well with Vernon's group anyway, considering what ambiguously happened to him.
Now that you mention it..... I also find it a bit weird now, especially Vernon and his group stealing the boat. Regarding Kenny and the group... I guess the real question is how were they gonna survive once on the water....?
The boat was resting on a trailer, right? They could have just pulled the trailer to the river.
Well, considering that he assumed that the boat would be at the dock, he would need a change of plans quickly. Molly or someone could go ring a bell tower, clear the area for walkers, then they are free as scotch tape: They pull it to the water and go.
I guess there is at least one guy who's disliking these posts because... I don't even know why.
The forums don't even keep track of dislikes, so there really is no point to it.
Whoever it is has too small a mind to realize that, so let's let them waste their time with this and ignore them.
Kenny was a fisherman, perhaps he could improvise a fishing rope?
There where WHEELS on the boat. Go back and play it was pushable.
The group didn't get chance to probably plan what to do about getting it to the river. After they got the battery and fuel sorted, Vernon stole the boat but yeah, it should have maybe been explained how Vernon's group got the boat out. Maybe they didn't even make it to the river? Vernon probably got killed and the survivors left him and the boat behind?
Lol that is a big plot hole isn't it OP? I honestly never thought of it before. One thing I always thought was dumb was how Kenny got jumped by Vernon's group of senior citizens/cancer survivors...that really never made any sense to me.
But yeah I have no idea how Lee's group was going to get that boat to the water, nonetheless how Vernon's group somehow actually did that.
Cancer patients had guns, they didn't. They rob it at gun point.
Pretty sure Kenny and the majority of the other group members had guns too. Anyways, it doesn't matter...just thought it was "strange" for that to occur.
It was on a trailer, but pushing a boat through the city with walkers around? Thats a suicide plan, theyd be pushing slower than the walkers and theyd get surrounded in no time.
I always assumed Vernon had access to a car, I mean, Crawford took as much as they could, but that doesnt mean Vernon didnt have a locked garage with his car in it somewhere.
As for Lee's group plan in the morning, dont really know, I dont think they ever even thought of how they were going to do it. I had assumed that might have been half of ep. 5.
When you go to vernons hide out in episode 5 you can hear the bells ring.
