"I thought you were dead" My argument that It might be Kenny
I wrote on another more popular post that I was personally hoping for Kenny as the character who returns. Why else would there have been so many choices Lee made concerning Kenny? You can either make Kenny hate you or love you to death, and the Kenny decisions persist a little while after he 'dies' too, with Christa and Omid consoling Lee and an option being "He was my best friend."
Kenny sticks with you from almost day one of Lee's experiences of the apocalypse to literally the last day, and we saw no body when he vanished. As a sidenote, no matter what happens to Kenny, it says "He was lost to the herd." Lost being a keyword.
The thing is that I have an idea of what could've happened for Ben/Kenny 'death', but no ideas for the "Christa falls Kenny death'. For the Ben death, Ben is covered in blood and Kenny shoots him to put him out of his misery (this is my favorite option with the story so I always take it, I love how Kenny tries to redeem for his hatred of Ben even though Ben was responsible for all of his hardships). Anyways, perhaps the Walkers were attracted to Ben's newly dead scent and much less struggling-body, so they focused on eating him as Kenny escaped? Still, the entire alleyway was full, so any of the Walkers on the ends could've focused on Kenny. I still am hoping he made it out. And as I said before, I have no idea how he could've escaped the Christa death. Maybe there were less Walkers in the building than the alleyway, so he carefully got out.
Whatever the case I feel Kenny would be a perfect candidate for this rebel group's leader. If Kenny was Carver, then it shows his decent to madness as he fights to stay alive for himself, with no friends or family left. If not Carver himself, then at least in a new group to survive. With Clementine showing up again, maybe he'll have a blast from the past and remember (if you decided so) that Lee wanted nothing more than for (possibly Kenny) to take care of her. Kenny's madness would surely be a recurring issue though.
There's also probably a reason Clementine pointed out the duck on the wall of the cabin, and had Kenny's family in her backpack still after a year. I feel it's a story-telling device to make sure we remember (and for an indication to whoever is playing this before the Season 1) that Kenny and his family was, and remains, important to Season 2 also. Because it isn't like we've heard about Ben or Lily or Carley or whoever, but we've seen two hints to Kenny. (We also saw him in 400 Days at Gil's as if to remind us too.)
I also think I may have actually come across proof. I was looking through the chapters of the game and I found the silhouettes of the new group. One of these silhouettes look so much like Kenny it's ridiculous. He has lost his hat, and has new clothes, but I am pretty damn sure this is Kenny's facial structure and hair. You can even see his mustache if your monitor is clear enough.
I'm talking a lot because I have no friends who play this with me, so I'm finally venting my ideas to the world. :P But yeah tell your ideas. Maybe this is just some random old dude, or maybe it is Kenny. I like Kenny because he was very realistic in his 'douchebaggery', I mean, even Lee wasn't perfect during a time when people started eating another. When I first played, I hated Kenny. The second time I decided he was a good character to me, and I hope to see him return, and hope I am right about my picture.
Whether you like Kenny or not, or whether this topic has been addressed before, this is purely a fan wanting to discuss an idea she had.

When was the last time they mentioned or alluded to Lilly in S2 EP1 for example? :P
I don't think Kenny would be THE Carver, though. Maybe a highly respected right-hand man or somesuch, but not Carver himself.
In that brightened image , maybe I am seeing too much, but there seems to be an outline for a moustache there.

Look sorry to say (and i hope im wrong) But he did not live if you saved ben then after he pushed you in there you can see when he fights off a zombie he gets bit on his wrist +if you killed ben you can hear him getting chewed on
I think its Kenny too but if its not him im sure he comes later.
Nice theory!!! I think Ken survived by "saving" Ben as then the walkers have food to eat... Works all the time in the series... IF hes aiding Christa and runs off I think he survives as well due to the fact its inside a building with many doors etc. Him being Carver would rule...
lets not forget the outline on this photo.. yes still a possiblity its Kenny or not.. I hope for kenny.. still pissed that they kill of the main character.. Lee
There was another thread that shows the guy to the left might either be Wyatt or Vince depending on choices you made in 400 days. Not too sure about it being Wyatt, but on the alternative slide, it does look a lot like Vince to me.

Also, I hate to be that guy but every thread needs one right? I don't agree that the "I thought you were dead" person is Kenny. I truly think it's Telltale messing with us again just like they did with Nick, because so many people want Kenny back and it's creating hype. I think Kenny will return, but I just don't think it's going to be this way, I think it's going to be totally unexpected. Nice thread though, OP, I do agree with the majority of the points you made.
Yeah I have that one too, but clem looking forward, Honestly I think its Vince with short hair if he went with Tavia or long hair if he stayed... I dunno, lets face it they changed a slide for TWAU so we can't stake too much on this

No, sorry dude but its already been confirmed that the Amid the Ruins slide will depend on the game system/console you play it with and which country it belongs to. So it won't matter if we have Clem looking forward/sideways or the guy on the left having short or long hair
For me its obviously either Kenny or Nick, I don't even know how someone came up with the idea that could be Vince, Vince only appears in the Ps3 Version
So you're saying that it could be Kenny/Nick in the PC version and Vince in the PS3 version? If it were true then I wonder how that plays out...so we get like two different people saying the same dialogue then?
