Moving saves from one PC to another
Hi,
I just bought a new computer. I played season 1 of the Walking Dead and the first episode of season 2 on my old computer.
I'd like to know if there is anyway to move my saves and choices from season 1 and 2 from my old PC to my new one. I understand season 1 has Steam Cloud, but season 2 doesn't.
I tried to copy and paste the save files from My Documents but it didn't work. Is there any "official way" to do this?
It's not that I need this right now, but I'd like to solve this problem by the time episode 2 from season 2 is released. Is there any plan to release Steam Cloud for season 2?
Will season 2 need season 1 files for every episodes? Or does the importation occurs only once?
That's a lot of questions. But if someone would be kind enough to answer me, that'd be great. Thanks.

Yes, there is a way and it works just fine for me. I don't know if this is a official way of doing it, but like I said no issues whatsoever for me. Make sure you have a fresh install of both Season One, and Season Two on your new PC, with no old save files already on there. Run both games once to the main menu, this will create the folders. Just quit and follow the steps.
And no, you only have to load your Season One save slot once. Your Season One saves should be safely stored within your Season Two save files. However, if you wish to start a new save slot in Season Two, you will have to load your Season One save slot again.
For Season One, (complete season should have 75 save files including 400 Days):
For Season Two:
Yes, this is a way of transferring the files correctly, but please note this is an unsupported process, and any lost files or corrupted saves may not be able to be recovered.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for not having steam cloud or similar thing for S2.I played first episode then my PC crashed and i had to format my HDD.Now E2 is here but it did not see my E1 and randomly generates.Really good decision for a game so dependent on its saves. At least put saves to the games folder so when we format C Drive, we won't loose the other drives. How crazy, right?
