Hey everybody, I am so excited for the next episode of The Walking Dead that I made a quick video to honour one of my favorite moments from the previous episode. I hope everyone enjoys.
That was such a difficult part. Every time I watch that I get tears. Such a brave girl to do that. One of the most memorable parts of the series, in my opinion.

I thought that this was a nice parallel/callback to the first episode of Season 1 when Clem got a little cut on her finger at the drug store and needed Lee to bandage it up. She seemed so helpless back then. Now just two years later, she's stitching up huge, gaping wounds on her arm all by herself with no anesthetic and beating down zombies with a hammer. She's had to grow up fast. And we can only hope that she'll keep growing up.

Definitely. But not just that. She's lost most of her optimism and hope. And it makes sense. She doesn't really have much to live for anymore. She already lost her parents, she thinks that her guardian dying was all her fault, and any semblance of a family she could have had after all of that was wiped away in the first 10 minutes of the season.
For the last 16 months of her life, her only companion has been Christa, a woman who was fairly stern and stoic before but must now be downright bitter after having lost her husband and child. And then Clem even gets separated from Christa, who might be dead for all we know, and stumbles upon a group of survivors, most of whom tried to distance themselves from her as much as they could and all of whom thought it would be okay to leave her in a shed with an open wound for a whole night to save some bandages.
She's...had it pretty rough. I hope Episode 2 won't be nearly as depressing for her as Episode 1 was. I hope she gets at least some of that spark back in her--something to keep her spirits going in spite of all of the horror all around her. Because if it keeps going on like this well, "that girl ain't gon' make it." Not in any way that matters, at least.
Clem's solid, I think. She'll bounce back. She's seen some pretty bad shit in season 1 and it made her stronger. Remember, she had no chance to take a breath in episode 1, it was constant peril from the time the weasel snatchers attacked, with only a small break with the dog. Then her treatment at the hands of the Cabins idiots? She'll be ok. Clems tougher than we think.

I felt pain for her in that situation.

I agree, It's like she has lost her innocence in this season, in a way.
