Daryl is not even close to being the best character on the show. For one, both the Rick and Governor from the show are better than their Comic counterparts. Then you've got Maggie and Glenn, who both have much larger roles. Hershel was also better. I'm guessing they're going to do some awesome stories with Michonne, as her stories were the highlight of the new episode. Daryl is a good character, but honestly, I find him about as interesting as Beth... And I think she actually has more potential than him.
Daryl is the best character in the show. The thing is, that doesn't mean a lot, because he has the most interesting background and story only … morebecause only his has been explored at all, most characters haven't gotten the treatment that they desperately need.
Also Daryl is the only person in show who doesn't make really fucking dumb mistakes all the time.
Or, she could be the better version of Carl. Seems like the new writers are actually doing pretty well with Carl in Season 4, but they've got a lot of problems to fix with him.
If game characters were in the TV Series, it wouldn't be canon, they'd be alternates. Same as how Rick Grimes in the TV Show is an alternate to Rick Grimes in the Comics.
Has anyone else realized that the game and TV series cant be the same canon because of Hershel?
The TV Hershel never had a son, yet he does… more in the game. IN ADDITION, Lilly was introduced in season 4 of the TV series, introducing yet another retcon in which both Hershel and Lilly from their respective stories cannot be the same ones as the other.
You know, If clem and Lee is a complete no no, why not Molly? She only appears in one episode, and she must of left Atlanta by now, i mean with that big ass horde being there. Why couldn't she encounter rick's group? even for a single episode like in the game that would be awesome
In the comics, his love story with Maggie and the encounter with The Governor were his only important parts(that the TV Show has had the chance to cover, I won't mention anything beyond that). Glenn gained a lot of attention when he was captured by The governor in the TV Show because... Well, that scene was awesome, and it showed his loyalty to Maggie. The problems in their relationship halfway through S3 brought out a rage in Glenn, and it was interesting to see him go off the deep end for a bit.
Even in S2, though his relationship with Maggie was similar, it was still more fleshed out than in the comics. Maggie talking to him about how all the other members treat him as if he's expendable, etc. In the comics, their relationship(at first anyway) boiled down to, "I'll fuck you" and then they were sneaking off in the prison to have sex and that was the end of his development until The Governor, and even then, that was done better in the show.
Really, Comic Glenn and TV Glenn are pretty close, it's just that TV Glenn was given larger roles, and for some reason, Comic Glenn seems marginally more likeable.
In urban Macon born and raised
on the playground where I spent most of my days
chilling out maxing relaxing all cool
and all shooting some b-ball outside of the school
when a couple of Walkers started chewing up people for good.
started making trouble in my neighbourhood
I got in one little fight and Clem got scared
and said "We're moving with the group to Savannah"
I begged and pleaded with Lilly the other day.
but she still shot Carley so we sent her on her way
We found a train, but it was all cool, didn't need a ticket
I put dat dude's bitten son down and said "I might as well kick it"
saw this homeless dude and thought yo this is bad
drinking some weird stuff out of a champagne bottle
is this what the people of Savannah living like
hmm this might be alright
Haha, that's the scene I was talking about when I was saying Glenn's confrontation with The Governor was more interesting. Definitely darker in the comics, but I liked the interrogation in the TV Show better.

That's another thing, I hated that Chuck had such a small role in Telltale's.
Now with
(SPOILERS)
Hershel gone, they could bring Chuck in, and then keep him around for much longer, hopefully not messing up his character in the process.

I think they've already done more with him.
