Why 400 days was important(spoilers)
So, I've seen some people on these forums talking about how they didn't like 400 days because they didn't get enough time to really get to know the characters and become attached to them. The obvious importance of 400 days is that a lot of the characters from it are probably going to be in season 2. It already might as well be official that Eddie and Vince are going to be in season 2, since their models are on the cover picture for episode 4(on different platforms).
But I think there was something more important about 400 days. Telltale usually kills off characters in The Walking Dead games, especially the most liked ones. What better way to make the players attached to the NPCs than letting them play as the NPCs?
We might not have gotten to know any of the 400 days characters too much, but we got to play as them. I don't know about you all, but I would be a lot more upset about one of the 400 days playable characters dying than one of the season 2 cabin crew characters.
So, Telltale might kill off all or at least some of the 400 days group and they might have let us play as them just so we would feel more sad about their deaths.

That would be pretty cool and interesting to see.
I assume the 400 Days characters are going to come into season 2 at some point but with the cabin crew that's a large "party" if they're going to group up with Clem. All of the 400 Days characters have issues to resolve & stories still to tell.
I wonder if/how it will make a difference who went with Tavia and who stayed at the camp. In my play-through only Vince remained behind (which seemed crazy – no way would I camp out on my own with no-one to stand watch while I slept no matter how little I trusted Tavia).
