Last Of Us V Walking Dead?
Yes i just went there both set in zombie apocalypse and rely on story
Just replayed last of us so epic perfection story, game play, length, searching for loot actually gives you something not just useful but vital for survival just search every inch of game brilliant.
Anyway which is better and why?

I hated MOST of last of us... the story was pretty darn good till the ending, which I thought was just made for making sequels, which the game definitely doesn't need. More things too, but ultimately it might be mostly because I'm butt-hurt about naughty dogs dramatic change of focus in the past years

If i had to pick one i would choose TWD cause i don't own a console.
Tbh, as a game, I like The Last Of Us more because there is, well, gameplay.
But I like The Walking Dead's story better. I care about Clem more, I got way more attached to her than to Joel.
So, I don't really know. The Walking Dead is better storywise but The Last Of Us is a better game after all.

Fully expecting the majority to say Walking Dead because this is a Walking Dead forum after all.
They're both phenomenal games in their own right. I guess I'd lean a little more towards TLOU. I really didn't play many non-sports video games before buying TLOU in June. I loved it so much that it re-opened some doors. I don't think I would have tried TWD before that turn. I almost have to side with TLOU out of thanks.
What would truly be difficult for me is to rank Joel, Ellie, Clementine and Lee.
They're both fantastic, and can't be compared. It's like trying to compare fucking, Call of Duty to Tales of Monkey Island. It's nonsensical.

Oddly enough, I actually enjoyed the walking dead's gameplay more than TLOU's gameplay... I'm not fucking with you.
EDIT: But seriously though (Cause I feel the need to repeat myself) TLOU'S gameplay was garbage... being able to troll the AI with bricks does not make it good :P
You can't compare the 2 games.
The Last of Us = action survival game with a good story
The Walking Dead = adventure point and click game with a good story
So this topic is useless because you can't compare a action game with a point and click game. This are games in different categories.
Story - TWD
Gameplay - TLOU
But still TWD is the best game I ever played. TLOU comes in second.
I would still have to go with TWD, TLOU is a great game but i didn't connect with Joel and Ellie like I did with Lee and Clem, Hell I felt even more attached to Kenny than any of the The Last Of Us protagonits
Walking Dead is WAY better.
I just like TWD for the story, the game play is pretty simple though and the choices you make mostly have the same outcome. The story makes up for it though.
I thought the last of us story was just ok but the gameplay was amazing.
Its a really hard choice but if I could only live with one I would pick the walking dead. I read stories for a living and its one of the best.
Both ps3 games so on that format fair question and COD never i hate that never use that as an example shooting people for no reason with no story and odd explosion yes in games im serial killer but story where have to kill to protect innocent(clem,ellie,elizabeth) and have reason to kill i love no story with fancy explosions bore me

Couldn't disagree more all games can be compared if its on same platform(ps3) look at reviews every game has rating system so maybe then judge by quality of shooter against quality of point and click which experience did you enjoy more or felt did better job within there genre
No im massive fan of twd and im on this forum but greatest game ever played is last of us not saying one game is quality and other isn't but which experience you enjoyed more
I'm actually playing The Last of Us right now thanks to Left Behind. And started the main game over again, decided to give the game another whirl.
I don't think it's as good as people say it is. It is NOT the best game of the generation, not even the best Naughty Dog game. That belongs to Jak 3 or Uncharted 2. The control scheme just didn't do it for me. I decided to give the game another chance recently because I honestly don't see how I didn't like the game as much as other people. However,while the ending had mixed reactions, I actually liked it.
Joel and Ellie were also likeable characters, though I was rather disgusted by one of them towards the ending (anyone who plays it knows what I mean) but other than that, I liked them both. They were memorable and Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson done great jobs with their characters. Would I like a sequel? Of course I would. I can see how Naughty Dog could improve in many ways their game with The Last of Us. The game was not perfect, no matter WHAT people say about it. But rarely is there a perfect game. And I can see a great sequel coming out of this.
I prefer The Walking Dead primarily. Even though you can't really compare them since they're a completely different genre. I prefer the characters and story over The Last of Us. And we all know TWD had one of the most compelling, beautiful endings ever done in a video game.
And this actually comes from a HUGE Naughty Dog fan.

Fair enough good answer uncharted is quality though 3rd my fav with lou my favorite personally my best experience in gaming with bioshock infinite.
I like both games but I've only been able to play TWD since I do not own a PS3 so I can only judge by story. For me the TWD is better because of the ending and that you have some interactivity in the story.
On a side note which dlc in your opinion is better Left Behind or 400 days?
Not really. Just because they are on the same platform doesn't mean they can be compared.
Obviously most people would say TLOU has better gameplay since you're comparing a third-person shooter/stealth/action game to a point and click game. That's like comparing a Japanese visual novel game (Corpse Party) to an action RPG (Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep) and asking which had better gameplay.
I do prefer TWD's story and characters to the TLOU thoguh.

Both games are great in their own ways. People who say TLoU sucks are the ones who either never played it or don't want to admit it because this is a TWD subforum. I really loved both games and they both deserve equal praise, in my opinion. The Walking Dead's story was incredibly well written and it got me hooked from the very beginning of the game. TLoU had amazing visuals(it's not always about the graphics, but those were the best ones I've ever seen,). In The Walking Dead, it really didn't feel linear at all and felt like any little thing I did mattered and could shape what happened in the future. The Last of Us is of course a linear game but it was filled with excitement and the entire experience was completely amazing. In the end, both games are amazing. I encourage those who haven't played TLoU yet to go and play it or just watch a playthrough of it on YouTube. If you don't, you would be missing out on a fantastic game.

Agree see where coming from as in your experience of each game so playing novel game with mindset its novel game and same with shooter and which experience within its genre felt you enjoyed more as if asked me COD or walking dead be twd as the experience was much better while taking into account its genre
