what's with the lamp?

edited February 2014 in The Wolf Among Us

I never read the comics. Why would the place the lamp in the office and allow you to interact with it if it doesn't do anything?

Comments

  • The Genie was freed and it's there as some sort of decoration now. It's interactive because....hell it's a point and click game.

  • Kind of pointless for something important as that to have no affect when interacting.

  • Not everything in the game has to be important. Exploration would be a little less interesting. It also gives the world a little character.

  • A lot of artifacts from the Homelands are stored in the business office. You can also see the sword in the stone in the background, among other oddities. Like Hellowerewolf says, not everything you can look at is a vital part of the plot. It's just a nod to other fairy tales that helps make the setting a little bit richer.

  • Lamp?What lamp?Umm...Every office needs light,i guess?That's what lamps are for...

  • It would be nice to achieve something in later game by interacting with this lamp. Personally, I count on the encounter with genie or something like that. : D

  • Agreed. I mean I know they have other things in the game that you can "investigate" but nothing comes of it. The lamp would be cool if somethings happens. Just a little disappointed with that. Over all this game is amazing, can't stop thinking about it since I finished episode two. It's been a,long time since a.game has really pulled me in like this.

  • When Crane reached for the lamp at the end I thought he secretly had control of the Genie. That would have been an interesting twist.

  • Worth a try i guess.
