If Kenny/Lily returns what if they become a villain?

edited February 2014 in The Walking Dead

this is just a theory i made while i was at work because when you are bored you think of this shit hahaha

anyway what if the i thought you were dead person is kenny or lily and they turn out to be a villian?

i am not sure how it would work for kenny if that happened but for lily i could see it happening as she did sort of go crazy from her paranoia that would be my guess

plus i don't think kenny would just leave his group that have most likely been with him for a while just cause clem is with the cabin group

anyways it seems stupid but possible what do you guys think?

  • If they are villains now, i'll be most happy about it. It is interesting idea so i think it is very plausible. We will find out "Soon"

  • I really want Kenny as a good guy but Lily doesn't matter.

  • Both could be good villans

  • I don't think it will happen to Kenny. Sure, he lost everyone he cared about - including his best friend - but so did Clem. And Kenny didn't have to euthanize anyone. If Clem can stay reasonably good, than I'm damn sure Kenny can too.

  • I think that would be a great twist, especially for Lilly, Kenny would need to be a reluctant villiian though for his character.

  • Tbh i think that Kenny....A villain makes too much sense...I think he can be one and then at a point ur forced to chose to kill him or someone else or like make him die or let him live...WE dont know but i like your theory

  • I would actually love that and would praise TTG to high heavens if they actually did that.

  • Kenny will be good but Lily became a villain as soon as she shot Carley so yeah if she comes back she will be a villian.

  • The last we saw of him, I think Kenny was in a place of acceptance. Certainly the best place he's been in since everything that happened with Duck & Katjaa. A lot can happen in 2 years, but I don't think a sudden change to a villainous heart would fit very well.

Lilly, yeah. I can see it, no problem. She was a psycho. Never got over her father's death in the time we spent with her and was either left on the side of the road or ditched you. Don't think she confronted a lot of issues and could easily see her continue to hold a grudge.

  • If Kenny became a villain, it would throw the character development he had in Episode 5, which was arguably some of his most important, right out the window. He won't be a villain because it wouldn't make sense for him at this point.

Lilly... I suppose she could be. I'd prefer that she wasn't, but with where her character left off, she could go either way at this point.

  • Interesting! Well, Lilly I don't care about much but Kenny, sure. Though I have some trouble thinking he could ever be a villain in that way. More like, he's very headstrong and has his opinions about things. Maybe his opinions and actions wouldn't sit right with Clem. Or maybe she gets to choose. Join him or go against him. Could be interesting.

  • Before they annouced we'll play as Clementine I thought they'll make villain from her.

  • Yeah be cool my hope was while clem outside kenny sneaks up to her and says i can kill everyone in house and we will take control have all food and supplies last time trusted people took our boat it's survival of fittest lets make sure get them first listen they left you to die clem remember. Then the decision is shot him right there or agree let him go into the house and potentially murder everyone . I like my villains like Joker in dark knight yes his evil but has a point so hard to chose

  • Honestly, I rather Lilly have redemption. I feel she is more viewed as a villian, whereas if she redeemed her character, she would fall in the grey area of what kinda person she is. It would be great if they made us care about her despite what she has done in her past.

  • If there is conflict with one of them I'd hope there's more to it than simply making either of them one-dimensionally evil now.

  • Yeah my thoughts almost exactly.

I can see Kenny becoming more haggard, maybe even a little twitchy, but Rock114 is right; turning him into an outright bad guy would be flushing everything his character achieved in episode 5 down the toilet. Maybe Kenny's behaviour in season 2 could depend on his relationship with Lee in season 1?

Now Lily, on the other hand...her I can definitely see degenerating into a villain over a brutal 16-month period. Considering how ruthless and unhinged Lily was getting in LONG ROAD AHEAD, it wouldn't be a stretch for Lily to turn into the Irma Grese of the zombie apocalypse.

  • Well, ever since the pharmacy I didn't like Lilly, and ever since Kenny left me to die by Danny (and several walkers) I didn't care for him either. Though I believe both of them could be good antagonists, though I think it's more likely to be Lilly.

  • Kenny though loyal to friends, after the loss of that loved one became melancholy and down, but I think villain is something forced. He can threaten someone with a gun, for example, but only to protect your son or his wife, who no longer exist, unfortunately.

Lilly certainly yes. As the game theory goes before the comics, we take into account that the same Lilly appears together with the governor, then perhaps the troupe Clem trumpets with them (before the trouble with Rick) and Lilly appear with him, perhaps providing even some outside help.

My great imagination, but that's just my opinion.

Damn straight. Lilly is more villainous material than what Kenny is. After what Kenny did in the last episode of season 1, I couldn't see him becoming a villain. He just doesn't have it in him. Sure, he was a bit unstable at times, but he would always be true to himself.

  • I could definitely see him become a lot more ruthless and aggressive in season 2. Everyone in the cabin group will be like "man that guy seems like a huge asshole," and Clem will go "No he's not, he was a good man," and everyone will be like "Shut up Clem." At least that's what I think.
