Cannot see game titles/hints

Hi there. I just purchased and downloaded TWD - Series1, all installed fine on my MacBook Pro with Mavericks (OS X 9.1). There is one problem though, I cannot see some of the text, seems to be titles or game hints, I just see blocky stuff. I changed the game display from 1440 x 900 (which is what I have my own display set to) and tried all the other resolutions available, without success. I then changed my laptop's screen res to 1280 x 800, but again I couldn't get the game text display to work properly. Help?

OS: Mavericks (10.9.1)
Processor: 2.3 Ghz Intel
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 2 GB Space Free
Video Card: NVidia GeForce GT650M

    I apologize for the inconvenience. This may be caused by a display issue with newer Macs. Please try toggling it from Full Screen, to Windowed Mode, and then back to Full Screen by pressing the Mac shortcut CMD+F. This should resolve the text issue you are experiencing.
