Water~ a consistent theme?

I noticed a lot of water references in All That Remains. first of all, the background for the game is a river. secondly, you use your water bottle(that could be random) because the sink is out of water. then, you fall into a river and get carried away. then, the final scene takes place at a river, and the credits play over a song about water. I could just be paranoid, but it seems like water is a consistent theme for this Season.
