I don't think there is one, Not in The Walking Dead universe at least But Im dying to hear what ideas other people have
The zombies in the Walking Dead Series die after time. They starve to death just like humans do, just much much slower.
I think the cure had to be lab made like for evey other virus or bacteria.
Problably would have to be something that stopped the virus from reproducting and it would eventually die...
I also guess that "treatment" would have to be spread in the air like the virus did

I think the world that Kirkman wanted to portray wasn't one where a " happy ending " could be achieved, it's a bleak and depressing world that brings out people's true characters.

To exist a cure there would have to be a lot of scientists alive or the people that are alive would have to study a lof of microbiology and biological engeniiering so te cure would be invented by them

That doesn't necessarily constitute a cure though.
It prevents zombies from attacking you, but does nothing for those who are already zombies, and if by some chance you DO get infected, it won't stop you from becoming one.
I think there can be a cure but not to revert zombies to humans but stop humans from becoming zombies

No cure, simply put. If there were one, then I think the most it would do is stop people form turning after death. Maybe after years and years a pill or medicine that will fight the virus form Walker bites without needing to amputate.
Think if they become zombies already to late as brain shut down and body decomposing just stem of brain alive so maybe cure just be how to stop zombies attacking or simple terminating them all(impossible) maybe investigating why animals don't turn know have different body cycle but might be answer probably wrong and sound stupid there lol

The cure to this apocalypse is somewhere in the area of 7 billion lead slugs, with at least one to be applied directly to the head of any and all infected individuals.
There is no cure sadly. The ones who "turn" can't come back to the way they were before. Now as to destroying the virus within a living person... maybe there's a way so that when they do die, they don't turn?

Curing a bite would probably take a shitload of super-antibiotics, since the infection is made up of all kind of resistant bacteries.
Reviving a zombie is impossible though.
