Well, i suppose you're kind of right, everyone have been acting differently after a close persons death. Rick went insane and Tyreese got suicidal, i guess it goes hand in hand. But it was the way he didn't listen to anyone, completely played his own game and got himself and others in dangerous situations that didn't have to be dangerous from the start. And i did get some hope after episode 9, was it? When he actually managed to take care of 3 children quite well and seemed to have a more optimistic point of view. I wonder if he will eventually forgive Carol when he finds out or if he'll flip shit.
Yeah, Daryl and T-dog did fill those roles, what i meant was just that he was always a cool guy to have in the group, and season 3-4 for me killed it. I maybe had too high hopes for the introducing of Tyreese and was probably too hard on him, but he needs to put aside those extreme down feelings eventually. Which seems to be happening now.
Also Merle was one of my favourite characters but you can't ask for something more in the TWD world than your favourite character to go out like a true boss, of which he did. Also i think you need to see things more from The Governors perspective, sure he was a sociopath that killed plenty of people, but at several points he actually had a reason to. He had a different point of view on survival, and did everything to protect his loved ones. However when everything goes to shit he makes irrational decisions. Season 3 finale, anyone?
Tyreese: Tyreese was Rick's bro from early days and stood by his side and helped him out with decisions. He was reasonable and honest. Tyreese… more in the TV-series is an idiot that is whining about everything at all times. When the bodies were burned he refused to be realistic about it and instead decided to be a whining bitch through the whole season thus far. He almost had himself killed several times because he was mad, ridiculous.
I disagree here. Tyreese took the loss of Karen about as well as pretty much everyone else has taken loss, except perhaps Carl who shut down emotionally from Lori. Everyone else fell apart too, that's not on Tyreese being weak or stupid.
That said, I don't see how one could blame Tyreese at all for being angry and irrational. Who the hell could possibly be rational after finding the burned remains of the person you love right there in front of you? Plus, then his sister caught the deadly virus and could die a… [view original content]
Yeah, man I agree with every you said actually.
I will say that that episode with Carl and Rick gave me a bit of hope for his character, I … morehope they make him more like he was in the middle part of, and not the rude little shit or bumbling overconfident fuckup he was facing the walkers.
He was doing really well with them at first, I was thinking you'd better watch what's behind you, and he was, but then instead of running when he got ambushed and giving himself twenty feet, he got in a close range tussle that reminded me more o Gimli fighting the Wargs than Rick fighting those 3 walkers.
Also I started to like Tyreese more in the episode from last week, but you're totally right, I didn't get why they had T Dog, and not Tyreese from the start, as he met rick waaay back, I think right after Morgan, can't remember exactly.
Andrea is the one I'm most pissed of at. Andrea was a boss in the comics, she's kind of wavered in the show, without … [view original content]
That does actually make sense, but i still feel that starting war would be just as easy with beheading Michonne as Hershel, or hell go for both. But the ironic thing is just that the entire group COMPLETELY forgets about her and she ends up killing him. It's silly. Admit it.
Except the Governor flat out told Michonne that he no longer bore any grudges against her. There's no reason to think he was lying. Considerin… moreg that he seemed to understand that he had lost it in the past, as he told Lilly and Tara, it seems he finally understood that he was the one who struck first and brought all of his pain onto himself. So he no longer despised Michonne for that.
He simply knew Hershel would be a bigger blow to the group. Additionally, Hershel's the one who was playing the peacemaker. Killing him meant ending any kind of peace between the groups for good, which is exactly what the Governor wanted.
Yeah, no. I will not admit to what can easily be defended. I won't deny that the same result would be accomplished by killing Michonne and that it would have made sense given their history, sure. But that has no bearing on the fact that he likely chose Hershel for the exact same reasons and that Hershel was the one who made an appeal to the Governor's better nature. In essence, the Governor was also making a point to himself. Of course, that's all speculation on my part, no problem admitting that. It could very well have been that Hershel was just closer, so he chose to kill him. :P
There was no time to go for both, either. The firing begins right after Hershel goes down and the Governor gets shot in the arm right after, forcing him to retreat momentarily. By the time he gets back onto the scene, Michonne's already taken off and hidden behind some of the trucks. There's not much of a reason for the group to really care about her getting away. Their attention is fully on the firing prison group, and Michonne is tied up and unarmed. The fact that she's an expert survivor who could cut her bonds is not common knowledge to the Governor's group.

I will stand down on the choice of killing Hershel because you make several valid points but the fact that the entire group COMPLETELY forgets about their lethal hostage is not something that happens. It's either stupidity or TV that got this one.

Please, PLEASE don't fuck up Abraham.

I have a feeling they will, I hope Im wrong though because if he is anything like The Abraham from the comics he will be a complete success !
He was disconnected for cheating and hacking life itself, that makes sense.
Shane, Hershel, and the Governor were so much better in the TV series.
Watching the latest episode right now, looks good so far.
Agreed, Lets just see where this is going
