You don't have to wait that long...i will just tell you the truth. Luke told Clementine in Episode 1 that his parents are dead. So Carver can't be his father.
More evidence in Episode 2 points to them being connected. Sarah mistakes Carver for Luke: They DO look a like! Luke suddenly leaves when Carver comes, and Carver mentions Luke led them out if his settlement, so he must hate him? Why did Luke leave? Was he scared? Dies he not want to see what his father/brother/something else became?
Interesting! Even though it isn't probable (I haven't seen Luke have any emotional response to Carver's name that would indicate that he is hi… mores father), it would really grab my attention if they were related.
EDIT: Whoops, never mind. There isn't much of a chance of this happening. If you make Clementine mention that her parents died to Luke at the dinner table scene, he'll tell you that he lost his folks too. So Carver can't be his father. Although you never know.

I remember that Nick said that him and Luke started some business together or something and I think that is how he is related to the group.
