The wait for this episode was a noticeable amount longer than the usual wait, but yes, the usual wait is shorter so the odds are, statistically, it is very likely that the wait for episode 3 will be shorter.
Telltale has always has had this weird delay between the 1st and 2nd episode I believe it's happened with TWAU and TWD S1. But If they say episode 3 will come out sooner then I believe them.
