____ has become quite the pottymouth don't you think?
Don't you think Clementine has lost her innocent vocabulary and is now using "shit" more regularly? I don't even want to imagine her blurting out "Fuck" eventually. It was bad enough her saying "shit" at the farm in Season 1 if Lee referred to the cow manure as "shit" in the beginning of the game. How my Clem has grown.

I don't make her swear. It's weird because in episode 1 of Season 2, if Clem talks to Alvin and he swears Clementine says "Hey, language" and now she is completely okay with it.
Eh, I guess so. Everyone in the episode though was cursing left and right around her, maybe Clem's just picking it up like any kid would. I thought it was cute to make her cuss when she still seems so little lol I guess I'm in the minority.
Clem was in a group with both Kenny and Larry during Season 1. It's a miracle it took her as long as it did to begin.
I think at one point at the bridge she says "Oh shit" naturally though. I don't know if I'm wrong though, I think she does.
lol That's true.
Yeah. That's right.
She did if I remember correctly. The instance I remember choosing is when we first see Kenny, I picked "Holy. Shit." lol
She is almost 12, I cursed at that age. I probably would have even more if I spent that much time with adults who have more to worry about than censoring themselves around a kid.
also when your talking to matthew he asks if clem and luke are assholes, and i said "i'm not an asshole" and i burst out laughing cause how she said it XD
Yeah, I think her vocabulary has drifted a bit more toward the swearing side, but I don't care whatsoever if she swears. Personally, I've never understood the stigma behind swearing, and hearing Ellie swear like crazy in The Last of Us was just hilarious.
Oh yeah, that made me laugh too. She said it like she was insinuating that Luke was lol. She's gotten so sassy
"Clementine sweetie, feel free to smash as many zombie brains as you feel like! But i swear to fucking god, if you swear..."
i like how she is starting to curse. its like she is growing up and becoming more bada**. but i dont want her to curse like ellie in the last of us, i want clem to curse when its nesisery.
The one and only time I made Clem swear was during her reunion with Kenny. It was just too much not too. Then I picked the [Hug Kenny] option.
My Clem has said shit twice and asshole once this season.
She said "Oh shoot" in my playthrough. Dunno why.
I dunno. My favorite quote from this new episode was:
Clem: "Well I'm not an asshole"
Luke: "Wait, are you calling me an asshole?" (or something)
She says "shit" when she drops the water in S2E1 because if you said "shit" in S1E1 when Lee and Clem were in the barn together which impacts her to swear
You're kidding me right? She's 11. Even in a non-apocalyptic world, 11 year olds cuss. Hell, I'd argue this is around the age where they throw out curse words like nothing. I sure remember me being the same way....
Then they shouldn't have hinted in S2E1 that she has a thing against swearing with dialogues like
"Hey, language" to Alvin
"You should watch your language if you're going to be a mom" to Rebecca
or that saying shit in S1E1 would carry over to season 2 as if it actually was important.
Wait, she does? Can't believe I never knew that. It might have something to do with me swearing around her in most episode of Season One...?
Yeah I used to swear ALL the time when I was her age, my friends use to laugh at me when I'd swear back then because they were still against swearing at the time. Mind you I didn't swear ALL the damn time just when I was at home or away from supervision, especially around my friends.
Either way, the point is that it's natural to swear all the time at her like that especially when you're going through some rough times, swearing helps put emotion to what you're saying.
To be honest, I didn't even notice. I guess it's only natural though, since everyone around her has been swearing off the bat.
Same. I think they had a good balance of cursing in appropriate circumstances and not cursing in circumstances which might be considered appropriate. In the end her cursing didn't seem overbearing or forced or even over used. I think they did a very good job of keeping her 'pg-like' and having her grow up at the same time. I'd be OK with her even being a little bit worse (or better? Idk) when it comes to cursing as the game goes on, but not too much. The day she has chain curse words I quit >:/
I actually blurted out, "WATCH YOUR MOUTH" during this scene in S2.
Wasn't a fan of this.
The old her is gone since Omid got killed, no bringing her back...
She said that in mine too. I think it depends on how you had Lee act around Clementine which is pretty cool.
Its sign of coming of age and influence from the people around her.
Along with a little social awkwardness (ei: her trying to lean on the counter while talking to Carver.)
It's fine by me. Maybe because I grew up on 1980s PG/PG-13 kids' movies, where the cast swore like little sailors. If it's good enough for The Goonies, it's good enough for me (and Clem).
My gosh what a spoiler!
Well, even kids today that are younger than Clem swears more than I do, so I could imagine Clem being under pressure most of the time that I'm sure her vocabulary is the last thing people would care about
That was the cutest thing. She was all like "Sup?"
i've found something:
when you're on the bridge and luke get's stuck, don't press anything and clem doesn't swear.
Considering she hasn't dropped any F bombs yet, I'd say she's just fine. All part of growing up and showing that she's not the sweet little girl who reminded my version of Lee "swear" after finding the boat.
I don't think one bad word is so bad. Every adult swears a blue streak around her so of course she's going to pick it up.
