Alvin & Nick
So now we have not one, but TWO determinant characters for episode 3. As season 1 taught us, when we save a survivor from certain death, it ultimately turns out to be a stay of execution. All the same, I hope one (or both) of these guys will be able to contribute something special to the story with their borrowed time. Anybody want to speculate where Telltale will take Alvin & Nick in the next chapter?

I would very much like Telltale to buck expectations for once and have one or both of these characters make it to the end of the season alive. I think its a poor sign when your choice to 'save' someone means letting them live for another episode or two before they get randomly offed by something or other.
Nick, in particular. I promised Pete I would watch out for him, no matter how much of a screw-up he is.
I am hopping that unlike S1, we can keep the characters alive for quite a bit longer. That was my only real issue with the first game. That being said, Nick has already been trough quite a lot, so I could see them offing him permanently soon. I think Alivn's fate will largely have to do with what they have in plan for his wive, and as it seems she and Clem are getting closer, I don't think he is long for this world...
Unfortunately I feel like TellTale will kill them off rather quickly and they're short lived in the series...
However I would love for TellTale to prove me wrong and keep them Alvin alive for a long time
And Nick to, I guess...
I didn't even realize you could let Alvin and Nick die. Does it happen if you don't scream at Carver and don't convince Walter that Nick is good respectively?
I kept them alive just to have more content in future episodes.
For Alvin, it's choosing to go look for Luke and Kenny and then letting the latter take the shot at Carver when he's holding Alvin at gunpoint.
My Alvin is dead so.. I hope Nick won't die in Episode 3.
I didn't know they could die until after I finished the episode, so only Walt died in my playthrough.
I hope Alvin beats the shit out of Carver. then kiss his wife like a boss
At least Ben's and Carley/Doug's final deaths served a purpose, and fit the narrative really well, and happened at least one episode afterward: C/D's was to vilify Lilly really, really well, and Ben's was to "kill" Kenny, and also give him an amazingly heart wrenching "death" scene.
I am almost certain that Alvin and Nick's deaths later on are going to be extremely potent.
Actually, it's three determinant characters.
You can get Carlos killed.
