Confusion about Carver

Does Carver live under a false name? What I mean is that in the cabin scene, Carlos will say that his name is William Carver. . . But how come Rebecca calls him bill? I think I might be going crazy but leave your thoughts here. . .

    I don't know where you live. but in America Bill is short for William.

    I think Rebecca and him go way back before the zombies and them he went by name Bill. William Carver is probably something he invented when he started his group/cult.

    Every English speaking country recognises Bill to be short for William. >.<

    Well there is a name I know that makes no sense. The name is Dick and it is short for Richard. . . THE MORE YOU KNOW :P

    It makes enough sense to understand.
    William -> Will -> Bill /
    Richard -> Rick -> Dick

    No, I am pretty sure that doesn't make any sense. To me, Bill and Dick are completely different words. Dick is also a horrible name in my opinion.

    exactly! I would also kind of feel weird to call someone Dick when you don't want to insult him. Maybe it's just because English is my second language and I learned of the meaning of dick sooner than that it could also be a name, but that's why it will always be an insult to me. I feel bad for every Richard or 'Dick' out there.

    Bill is short for William. That's why Johnny call him Bill as well.
