What I think of A House Divided
I enjoyed the hell out of this episode. I feel the interaction between the Cabin is much better than the previous episode. They are all more trustworthy this time and nicer. Rebecca is way more nicer in this and she is more open about herself this time. Carlos shows more concern to Clem and seemingly trust her to look after Sarah.
I enjoy the group heading toward the mountains, it makes the pacing better and feels like the plot is moving forward. The bridge accident was intense and more so when it ended with Matthew getting killed by Nick. It makes me questions whatever he is a danger to the group.
My favorite part was the reunion with Kenny. I teared up when that happened, it was like reuniting with a lost family member. I instantly had Clem hug him.
Just when everything looks nice in the ski lodge, it quickly turned intense when I figured out that Matthew was part of the Ski Lodge group. There was this eerie and tension atmosphere, I felt like things could explode at any moment during the dinner. It all culminate when Walter found Matthew's hunting knife and smoking a cigarette. That was an extremely uncomfortable scene, like standing close to a bomb. I seriously thought that he would snap and stab Nick or Clem to death.
I find Carver to be a great and dangerous villain. During Clem's and Carver's interaction back in the cabin, it was clear that he was smart with the ways he questioned Clem and look around the cabin. When he appeared at the ski lodge, it was clear that the others are done. I was scared that everyone was going to get killed there. I also find him a different kind of Antagonist than Negan and The Governor. I know this is only episode 2, but he doesn't seems mentally disturb like them, but who knows? Maybe he is just as mentally disturbed like Negan and The Governor.
Overall, I love this episode. It was really good and I can't wait for the next episode!.
Thank you, Telltale.
